I don't get it... if Satan were all powerful (or almost all powerful) why would the internet - a human creation - be the differentiating factor in how many people he could reach? Wouldn't he be able to touch any person, from the full scope of humanity, at will?
How is it that a device, who's operation is limited basically to electrons flying around a bunch of wires and circuits, is able to increase the span of control of a magical being?
How did things work for him, pre-internet?
(I did post this as a reply above - but after writing, I think it needs it's own post)

The Internet also makes it easier for people to research Christianity. In just a few minutes you can look up the Pope's latest writings, check on the status of John Paul II's move towards sainthood, Christianity's historic mistakes and atrocities, or gather stats on the various coverups related to pedophile priests.
I don't get the recycle bin thing. In 15 years of having it on win95 and beyond, I've always disabled it. When I want to delete, i want it gone. End of story. If I need it back, I'll go to backup... or reconstruct it manually if I've done something truly stupid... and doing that once or twice will teach you to be careful with the delete key.
To me the second step in deleting should be the regularly scheduled free space wipe.. not a recycle-bin delete.

You can't exactly blame these guys for not knowing. The information superhighway was new or unheard of to about 95% of people at that time. Heck, AOL and compuserve hadn't even peaked yet.
You could probably have blamed their producers or research people though.. for not giving them the 5 minute education beforehand.
>>And I wouldn't mind if Google tossed them a few data grenades to wreck their output.
I'm trying to think of a way to do this for Google... but just don't have the bandwidth personally to look at the Bing Toolbar's packets... would love if someone could publish a hack that sent crap results to Bing's database for each google search.
Like a search for "diapers: returns the google results for "kiddie-porn" to Bing. That kind of thing.
Parent is right. It's not even reengineering or code copying/borrowing/stealing. MSFT is rebranding Google's results. Probably dropping google results into a MSFT database - wholesale - and spitting them back out to the user.
I don't expect any mod points for this post... but I'll just say that I'm not surprised by this. Since the launch of Bing, I've kind of questioned how MSFT could have come up with a 'superior' search engine so quickly. Their second (at least) attempt since 2000.....
>>Looking forward to the game though. I wonder if Duke will poke fun at his own lateness, in-game.:)
To answer my own question - at least partially. Near the end of the trailer Duke says "It's been 12 years, it had better be f*king good". (or something like that).

In FF 3.6.7 on XP SP2, I'm getting the long running script dialog when viewing this very story.
Also scrolling up and down is a pain... slow and jaggy. I'm on a 2 year old dual core AMD with 2GB... the v2 site didn't do that.. not a lot of other sites do that....

Good post. I wish I had points today.

Didn't Taco propose to his wife on /. ?
And this of course will affect all of Bing's results.
Would be amused to see all Google Search Results for MPAA point instead to pages on TPB and Demonoid. Spread that link juice around I say. :)
Sadly some still do this.....

You'll get sued for reusing Bing's name. Go figure.
Right. And it's not a big thing either when a thief tries to resell stolen wares.
But nevertheless it does warrant being called out, so the world can see the thief for what he is.
Julia's got a great set allright.

The biggest tool in the universe. He's obsolete but she still uses him...
I'd stay away from the hex wrenches. Most likely they are made out of that cheap stuff that strips easily under moderate usage. Same with socket sets.
Unless one is using them for hobby/very light home use, one is better off with Sears Craftsman tools - at least in the US.
Guys, the answer to this probably lies deep within Columbia.
Yes, Columbia.
I am certain that the cartels know how to measure a Kilo with precision. There is your new standard.. :)
