    do you want to over clock? I have pushed machines hard and I found that once we hit dual cores @ 2g things ran just fine;I had no need to overclock a machine since.The hardware is fine now,lets get the wetware up to par.

    *mitigate the consequences of the releases that will continue for a while.* Well, all bullshit aside- things are pretty much a forgone conclusion as far as the "It got away from us" dept. You really cant put the toothpaste back in the tube at this point. I think BP has been trying to 'mitigate' a bit of an oil spill. I'm not saying its the end of the world but lets be a little honest here. This is a fuck up and we all eat at the same table.I understand the quake and unfourtunate functions thereafter but this is everybodys deal. To say one entitiy will take charge of cleanup is just plain silly. Not yelling at /. this is going to need some serious out of the bar thinking.

    would be completely fitting for an all around. I'm sure that by 9th grade most if not all students are pretty well able to pass the current exam. I think it fails the 3W test but it's something that should at least be taught.

    Keep it. No argument here but I would like to see a bit more of redundancy built in and I'm not seeing anything that can beat the wire. Hell, a stout bbs might find it's way back to relevance before too long.

    Hate to float a turd but... there has been a cruse missile with these capabilities for sometime now.     Another good take would be how in the future we repair our tools in space. Fixing Hubble was by no means a simple task , and I think we learned alot from not only the view and data we have but how to approach maintenance.

    Some company's do in fact encourage small seminars during a break or actually set aside some time for employes from different areas of discipline to sit and learn from others. It only works for the benefit to all and opens up channels for the human creative process as you mentioned to work. Great comments.
