It is pitiful that so much stuff can be taken down with so little thought and accountability. Without watch dogs like Wendy Seltzer these robotic asshats would trample all over our free speech rights.
I agree. I would like to see SCO squirm in public court for a little longer. This will help spell things out a for those that might try the same crap in the future.
I would like to see technical service manuals for all automobiles greater than 10 years old made availiable. Also high quality scans of most major periodicals and optical character recognized so that they can be searchable.
This is going to sound very odd, but have you considered Nursing? I have a couple of years experience as an ICU RN and I have to tell you that will the recent push towards electronic medical records, I could essentially pick where I want to work right now, and I don't see that fizzling out in my lifetime. I work in the hospital's IT department and finding the IT/RN combo doesn't seem to easy to come by these days. Food for thought.

Is stress only a problem to the extent that it impacts our pocket book? No. This kind of stuff just convinces me that we are so far from a solution on this as a nation, that we are nearly hopelessly lost. Why don't we stress about that too?
Vanco has a lot of nasty side effects, which is why it has been traditionally used last. Its low use in the past make it a good antibiotic because the bugs haven't gotten used to it, but that is changing. It is like the Borg on Star Trek. Eventually they adapt so you have to switch weapons. Trouble is, we are running out of weapons.
VRE and MRSA have been around for a while. Now we apparently have VRSA. Not cool man.
