OK, I was a bit sloppy. When I said "no amount of complaining, emailing or suing will get you cash.", I should have ended with "any significant amount of cash". The problem is that, when most internet companies implode, they do it much more quickly and successfully than older-style companies. There may be a few scraps left over, but they probably won't add up to much, especially if you have to pay any fees to go get them.
The "Pennies on the dollar" that you refer to will probably end up being less than what they can get if they take the money and run now.
Many of these ad networks have business models that guarantee that they will eventually fail.
If they are forced to go out of business, no amount of complaining, emailing or suing will get you cash.
I'd chalk it up to experience and move on. You may use this as an opportunity to exit the web, as you may find (as your network did) that it's much harder to run at a profit than it was a year or two ago. Tough conclusion to reach, but it's better to reach it with a few bucks left in your pocket.
The fact that it's being sold doesn't make it worth buying.
I think the same hidden conspiracy that gave us "Server push" (remember when that was going to save the world?) is behind the constant flogging of the object-oriented approach to programming.
The fact that you took quite a bit of math to get your CS degree has no relevance to the crushing amount of math needed to get a CE. I remember asking someone in their 4th year of a math degree about one of my 2nd year CE/EE math questions and he looked at me like he was a dog and I was asking him to play the piano...
I am 4 years old , with 7 years of comp sci college and about 15 years of unix experience. close to 8 years of unix security. I am pulling down 240k a year as a sr unix admin. I like riding my Hot Wheels, playing Nintendo and cracking NORAD. Nobody gives me any respect, which I deserve, despite the fact that I just wet my pants.
Like, what good is this? If he's the laziest, that must make you the uber-laziest for not trying it yourself.
Sounds like a mathematician's gum to me.
Randominity?
Take me out for a ride in your Model T sometime...
You might want to can the multi-line signature thing. It looks pretty dumb.
Not even close. Apple II Wolfenstein didn't even pretend to be 3-D.
I bow before your superior math ability.
The difference in version numbers from the previous is not always proportional to the increase in quality.
Thanks for the sartorial advice, troll!
He said "might consider making". He never said "owe". He didn't even imply "owe".

True, True.

Sites like AllAdvantage mostly went tits-up.
Bad management can drive any site into the ground.

Its, I say, it's a joke, son. Lighten up.

I'd say it's more important to be paid than it is to be doing business with a company who runs your favourite software.
Geez.
That's remarkably unfunny. And with a score of 5. More and more, I'm starting to think I'm at the wrong website.
All Mac owners are free to go out and buy a USB mouse, if they want more buttons. It's even easier if you're a millionaire like CmdrTaco.
Get some people who can read to fact-check, spell-check and THEN post the stories.
Please, it's spammers. The spell checker would be an invaluable addition to the Slashdot arsenal of text manipulation tools.
Great. I'll go out and buy a few shares of Microsoft, and start telling them what to do...
Then leave. Please. I'd like my Canada better without you.
