What's even better, is that in the US it could cost wildly differently based on who the health provider is.

I did immunotherapy shots for seasonal allergies in the recent past, and the only reason I could afford it was because the HMO I was a patient of administered the shots via "nurse practitioners", so there was a $5 copay per shot plus 30 minutes of reading magazines to make sure I'm still breathing. And that's it.

I really miss that health plan - I'd still be with them if I hadn't moved across the country for a promotion.

Yes, standard immunotherapy shots for seasonal allergies have been doing this for some time. But, it hasn't been an effective method of treatment for several allergies, specifically food allergies like shellfish and nuts.

Apparently we can take that last one off the list.

(Note: I underwent immunotherapy for seasonal allergies, which helped some, but did nothing for my main year-round allergy to dust mites, which are practically impossible to avoid.)

Lenovo is making a play to keep enterprise business, and choke Dell and HP off to consumer space only. Lenovo has some incredible services that come along with a contract to buy their stuff in an enterprise. They just bought IBM's xSeries and BladeCenter business. They are in quite tight with Intel when it comes to vPro management and SmartConnect. They are now rebadging thin clients and competing VERY hard on price against both Wyse (Dell) and HP.

This is a play to deal with their failures in the tablet space - they tried to get into business with the Lenovo Tablet (Android) and it didn't go anywhere because Android just wasn't ready for enterprise at the time. The Lenovo Tablet II used an Intel Atom processor and Windows 8, well you can imagine how that worked out. Even Intel guys didn't like that product because there was noticeable time between tapping, and things happening; and that doesn't even get into the shittyness that is Windows 8.

Motorola sells shitloads of gear to enterprise - handheld scan guns, manageable access points, ruggedized handhelds, etc. Lenovo now gets that business to leverage the rest of their sales as a "one stop shop" that no one else is set up to compete with - all they need to do is partner with a MDM provider that isn't garbage, and they'll already be better than Motorola was in 2010 when they were trying to hawk MSP to world+dog...

  18. Oh no! A credit rating agency, that clearly is infallible judging by how they rated the commoditized mortgage-backed securities, downgraded the US Treasury from AAA to AA1 / AA+!! THE END IS NIGH!

Never mind that AA1 / AA+ is still 9 ratings above "speculative" - this is still a rating that any country or company would be incredibly proud of. Most large corporations happily sell bonds at Baa2 in a rolling cash flow in order to normalize balances for payroll and expense operations, and have exactly no problems moving their paper. The only reason to increase the credit rating is to get a lower interest rate, and interest rates are so fucking low on investment-grade paper that there is no point.

Regardless of the largely political move of lowering the credit rating, US Treasury Bonds are still the safest place to invest - any of the most recent debt auctions should be proof of that. The interest rates are laughably low - massively under the rate of inflation. The AAA rating doesn't make one shit of a difference.
