    I can't speak for how you are in person, but based on your post I would not want to work with you based on your charming personality. You come across as bitter and angry and not fun to work with, a drag on any team.

    In other words, they might be right: you don't fit in corporate culture. Cheer up! It'll make everything better.

    They don't care about Google plus anymore. They never did, actually. The only reason they wanted you to sign up is so they could get your name, age and gender, so they could give it to advertisers. Once they had that from everyone, they dropped pretty much all caring about the platform.

    They were feeling competition from Facebook because Facebook could tell advertisers about age and gender. Now Google can too.

    The author called Google's PR team to verify the facts in the article. If Google wanted to keep those things secret, they should have mentioned it to the PR team.

    Also, Google shouldn't penalize site's search results for not putting "+1" on their site. That alone is a huge abuse of their power, whether they kept it secret or not.

    It's a disjoint function. The goal during weight loss is different than the goal during maintenance.

    I have no idea what you are saying. You didn't even define all the parameters in the function.

    There are definitely two types of diet:
    1) What you eat when you are trying to lose weight
    2) What you eat when you are not trying to lose weight.

    2) Baywatch: $58 million US, $119 million rest of world
    3) Dark Tower: $44 million US, $43 million rest of world (it's still going)
    4) King Arthur: $39 million US, $107 million rest of world
    5) Alien: $74 million US, $158 million rest of world
    6) Transformers: $130 million US, $473 million rest of world
    7) Pirates: $172 million US, $791 million rest of world

    All of these films made back their budget.

    oh yeah, but there are a zillion good ways to lose weight, all centered around restricting calories in some way. A healthy way to lose weight is different than a healthy way to eat permanently.

    Have you seen anyone continuously losing weight , shrinking to zero weight eventually on a keto diet ?

    No, but I've seen them become so unhealthy they end up in fainting spells, then go to a doctor who tells them to eat some carbs.

    Well I'm going to keep on it for another month at least, because it works (ie, I am losing weight). Obviously that's not a long term solution though (because at some point I won't want to lose wight).

    If you have your firewall configured correctly, the device will not be scannable. Block all incoming scans. Furthermore, a firewall can prevent outgoing traffic, which helps in a lot of security situations (for example, I don't want my 'smart' TV ever connecting to the internet for any reason).

    The question is whether anyone can build a cost effective system vacuum tubes hundreds or thousands of miles long. It fascinates me that Elon Musk has started by building a crappy propulsion system. Why? That is the part we already know how to build, you can contract it out to to the Japanese and get it done quickly.

    So where is the plan to build cost effective vacuum tunnels? Maybe China can do it.

    I think the major unsolved problem of programming languages is: how do you organize the code? OOP is a good attempt, but doesn't quite get there.

    Another unsolved problem is, "How do you prove the code correct?" but that might not be solvable.

    When I was a teenager I used to take 4-5 spoonsful of sugar in every cup of tea or coffee!

    No wonder you feel good in ketosis, compared to what you were doing to yourself before, your current diet is amazing.
