After someone did all that hard work to get them all in a single place for others some genius decides to publicise the document on slashdot, end result nobody can access them.... back to square one!
IANAL but how is this not retrospectively changing the terms of the already heavily criticised EULAs that Microsoft uses? For legitimite purchasers who first bought the software this was not part of the agreement/contract formed, now Microsoft is imposing this on all users. Granted I havent RTA yet!
"...It doesn't require venting because it doesn't produce any harmful emittents like carbon monoxide -- just water vapor..."
So the occupants of the house only have to ventilate their house to get rid of all the entrained moisture. Sounds like this will take off big!
Most of these features can't be "secured" because they're *supposed* to function that way (SMTP, telnet, TCP, etc).
Excuse my ignorance but bugs are most commonly found in the implementation of said standards or in userland software that uses said transports not in the standard itself.
Is including a virus scanner really a sound answer to the problems of virii and trogans.
Removing the features that allow such programs to operate would be a better technical solution, securing the code. Rather than adding another layer of cruft that can contain holes?
Admittedly securing the code would change the anti-virus business to one that only considered malicious scripts and spyware
"...they just told Qantas they couldn't merge with Air New Zealand (thank god... look what Air NZ did to Ansett)..."
Excuse me, now lets compare what SCO is doing to linux and what you are inferring about Air NZ.
Yes Ansett went under shortly after being brought out by Air NZ, resulting in large numbers of job losses in Australia. However in what financial state was Ansett before the buy out? When you find the answer to this question you need to ask another question, why was this fact never made clear to Australians?
I agree that Air NZ failed to do its due dilligence before the purchase, I mean who would pour money into a doomed company?
From my perspective (yes I am from NZ) claiming that Air NZ screwed Ansett is like saying that SCO owns parts of the Linux Kernel. I believe that you need to consider all the facts or you'll be about as informed on the matter as our best buddy Darl.
"...Ransom Center staff began digitally scanning the Bible's linen pages in June 2002. The finished project gives Web viewers 7,000 images and special software was used to allow for full visibility of the text and illuminations...."
Excuse my ignorance, it is a wonderfully crafted document, but why go to all the trouble of digitizing a document that you can barely read the digital version of. It might just be my eyes, but its awufully hard to read the text even in latin!
My spelling is atrocious....
Why cant I sync the watches time by writing to a specific memory address on the watch. Now that would be even more useful.

segment this - it isnt built by Microsoft

.......
Sure this makes sense, without any oil why would the USA otherwise want to trade with Australia.
Makes sense that they try to force their brain dead laws on their partners^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H minions
Everyone in this part of the world knows that Howard is Bushes whipping boy.
Bush probably only had to cough and Howard would do anything he wanted, whats next extend the USAs brain dead patent system into Australia
Try; create a new document, save to pdf, open and check the Producer tag. Mine says "OpenOffice.org 2.0"....

Post a link on the front page of slashdot ...... brilliant!

Ok so well done and very funny :)
What I meant here was, patch/secure features that allow virii to propogate across a network without user interaction.
Kudos for the public humiliation

Web banners and popup adds only drive people away from things. Lets hope this promotes curiosity and interest ...
