I'm more into FPS than MMORPG so this is more about pirating or buying than signing up for a service. But since I completeley switched to linux a few years ago, i bought all the games i play rather than just copied them. One of the main reasons for me is that i think it is sexy not to have *ANY* pirated software on your system.
And let's be honest: It's really hard to pay for all the windows software you use, starting with little tools like winzip or stuff like that. So buying a single piece of software doesn't make it much better.
But with Linux there are only a few programs that you need to buy so it's very easy to reach a 100% 'legal' system.
Swatch also makes them and i have one of those. Works fine. There is a half-circular disc inside that turns around when you move. This energy is stored in some sort of battery and it will still work after a week or so of not having moved the watch at all.
I think i also saw some watch that was powered by your body heat...
And since most of us haven't contributed to the source code, we could at least support those who have.:)
Excuse me, but this is real bullshit. You don't pay the programmers, you only pay for somebody who takes open source projects and makes a nice compilation of programs. Plus you get the media, some handbook and installation support.
no, you still can't but you can install it directly over the internet via their ftp server. it's not the same but should be good enough for most users.
I don't like CDs anyway because they just tend to get lost...
I like the DVDs though, because with those you don't have to change CDs anymore. btw how many disks is the current SUSE?
True, true. And it's also true that the qualifiers there were harder or more time-consuming than in other countries. But IMO WCG is about fair play and everybody should be treated in the same way so why should some player get sent straight to the finals?
What do you mean? It was a team competition. The Swedish Team [worldcybergames.org] beat US in the Finals [worldcybergames.org].
That's not quite correct. It's more like A swedish clan (Sk.swe) beat A US clan (3d). In some of the other games they had more like national teams play each other. But just as I said in a previous post, it just made much more sense this way.
They decided to make CS a clan competition because like you said, teamwork is needed and it's easier to just take a working team than to train a national team. Plus they have that system of national qualifiers, so someone has to decide which players to send, so who should pick that team for each country?
StarCraft is HUGE in Asia, especially in Korea.

I don't even care which one is faster because to me SCSI is just much more sexy than IDE[period]
- I think he was protesting.

I think the real problem with Slayers_'Boxer" was that he was just too arrogant or too busy to just play the qualifiers.
