Obviously... if you've got your head in your hands, you probably arn't thinking about washing them. And don't get me started on wiping away tears, HELLO eye infections!

Apple has been pushing AppleScript in a big way, altough the recording aspect of it has been busted (in my opinion) since the dawn of OS X.
This kind of united states centric (I was going to say amero-centric, but then I remembered the rest of the continent) thought is getting pretty old. Just because you don't have to write accented characters, doesn't mean it's not news (for nerds no less).
Expecting South Park to come out swinging at wall mart is probably putting too much faith in their integrity and political drive. Ever since the totally reactionary post sept. 11th Osama Bin Laden episode, I've held no torch for Trey Parker and Matt Stone as a force for good in america.
DarwinPorts will allow you to install ports from source, and appearently yum offers the ability to install binaries.
The point being that Darwin is supposed to be a fully functional unix, not just the little bastard child that's kept in the cellar. Mostly useful I think when (as you pointed out) you want to keep multiple systems with identical configurations, or things that relate to administering or serving to os x machines, when you don't need the gui.
The Royal Bank of Canada, is not actually the same thing as the Bank of Canada. The name is somewhat deceptive, but it's just a bank, like Bank of America is just a bank. Non governmental is the key here...
