    I'm pretty sure peanuts come with their own oil. I also believe that "peanut butter" without a little molasses in it isn't peanut butter, but that's just me.

    Thanks for proposing to surrender a few more of our freedoms to the state. Drinking too much alcohol is bad for adults too, so how about beer limits?

    Me and a couple of mates once went to the Hirschgarten on a Sunday morning and went home when they closed it. I drank 9 liters of beer, ate 2 chickens, a couple of those giant pretzels with a cartload of Obatzta(a Bavarian cheese specialty) and a Steckerlfisch(a mackerel)

    And here the Europeans tell me that all the fatasses are in the USA.

    Exactly what kind of mucking foron does it take to summarily claim that US food is uniformly bad? Food in the USA is the world's food. People of all nations brought it here, and besides recent immigrants we have second, third, and fourth generations maintaining the craft. If you can't find good food here, you won't find it anywhere.

    Let's give truth its due: Carter only signed off on legalizing home brewing, which certainly helped craft brewers get started by allowing them to experiment at home without a state license. However, since the end of prohibition, alcohol regulation has always been primarily under the control of the states.

    Because there are no maintenance costs or risks for a geostationary satellite with a tether that is 100 km long.

    How many more Chernobyl and Fukushima "incidents" before we learn that we are not smart enough to safely run nuclear reactors.

    But we're smart enough to put a satellite with a tether in geostationary orbit and not have the tether break or parts some flying down and killing people periodically.

    There were Christian fundamentalists at Waco and the Branch Davidians who thought that God wanted them to prepare for the end of days.

    They were all Branch Davidians at the compound in Waco, Texas. Branch Davidians cannot be classified as "Christian fundamentalists" since a large part of their beliefs are not fundamental; that is, they are not based on a literal interpretation of the Bible. Also, note that Koresh and his followers had not initiated a terrorist attack on any kind. Based on information that Koresh had a meth lab and a bunch of illegally obtained firearms, the ATF attacked the compound. They did this even knowing that the Waco group had been warned, thus guaranteeing bloodshed. I'm not saying this to blame the US government, but to point our that NO, Koresh's group did nothing like storming an embassy and setting it ablaze.
