Since we apparently can't reduce ANY spending to the military
Wrong. $350 billion was just cut in the BCA, with about 600 billion more if other cuts are not agreed on by the deadline. Far too little, of course, but a start. An average of $35 billion a year is, indeed, 35 of your planes.
Of course, the perp was never found. It's too bad, because if anyone in the affected area died because of a delay getting medical assistance, I would have charged them with manslaughter.
He said to "Joe the Plumber" that it's best to "spread the wealth around." Believing that is a function of government is socialist. He backed a cap-and-trade system that would cause "electricity prices to necessarily skyrocket." That's socialist. He appointed Van Jones as the "Green czar" (then quietly let him go). Van Jones is a clearly socialist. He imposed a heavy tobacco tax almost immediately upon entering office to fund CHIP. Modifying behavior is socialist. Socialized medicine is socialist. And funding it with the same behavior you're trying to stop is just plain dumb.
Your statement falls flat, because it is impossible for a leftist to see himself as leftist. He sees himself and everyone like him as normal, and everyone who disagrees as a dangerous reactionary. This also happens to those on the far right, but at least they don't have the news media behind them.
Please show me a quote from a Tea Party representative or press release claiming we should default. The average tea partier knows that the Constitution demands we honor our debt.
Excuse me, but your reading comprehension is terrible. Either that, or you have no idea what the tea parties stand for. I can tell you that they're definitely for Medicare reform and reducing the deficit, both of which were concerns of S&P.
And meanwhile the safety nets meant to keep them out of the gutter have been systematically shredded. Welfare is gone,
What universe are you from? If anything, welfare is stronger. Welfare finally had reform in the 90's, thanks to cooperation between President Clinton and a GOP Congress. Limits on duration, and new requirements helped enable people to get off the program and weeded out the crooks and slackers. Welfare has actually gotten MORE lenient lately, and probably needs reform again (at least, to root out the fraud).
the current batch of Republicans already voted to end Medicare and will do so if they ever get a majority, and Social Security is undoubtedly next on the hit list.
No, it was the last Congress-- Dem controlled-- that voted to cut Medicare by passing the health care bill. Yes, there were cuts in there. Big ones. And if social security gets cut, it's because we have to. The fact is that there are more people going on the rolls and fewer people paying into it. People are also living longer. It's simply a fact, and saying "tax the rich" is going to fix it alone is just not doing simple math. We'll need to "tax the rich" a little by raising the cap for the tax, and push the full retirement age back a few years. That's compromise, not "tax the rich, then maybe we'll add a few of your cuts in."
A failed MAP sensor would definitely NOT be fatal. You'd be in limp-home mode, driving very sluggishly and inefficiently until you got it replaced. A failed ECM would, of course, kill the car-- but I've never actually had one fail completely. They seem to be very reliable, like factory automation.
So you're going to add a special freight terminal to unload all the incoming trucks AND tractor trailers, then deliver TO PEOPLE'S DOORS with an light FREIGHT rail tech that doesn't exist yet? This would be great for job creation, just like broken windows. Oh, and how about the visitors to your fine city? Where will you build the 500 acre park-and-ride lot?
Obama would have blamed the Republicans, blue dog Democrats, the Tea Party, people clinging to guns and religion, the Cambridge police acting stupidly, George W. Bush, talk radio, the Canadians, Richard Nixon, Neville Chamberlain, Gavril Princip, Robert E. Lee, James Madison, Charles I, Constantine, Diocletian, Nebuchadnezzar, Hammurabi, Tutankhamen, Imhotep, Abraham, Seth, and Adam.
I love that article for the F-15 SE II reference. I used to play that on my Turbo XT (!) and loved how the F-15 could take more hits than the A-10 in Tank Killer.
You can't burn a Qur'an in effigy, as it is not a person. And burning a fake Qur'an... well, that's pretty tolerant compared to burning a real one!
Also, Breivik claimed to be a "cultural Christian" and "myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God." I would like to defuse all "no true Scotsman" accusations by pointing out that the vast majority of those who call themselves Christian would not agree that someone who makes these statements is not Christian.
That's why I'm always watching the Christians in my office nowadays to make sure they don't bring in any assault rifles.
And I kill and burn anyone who sneezes, because they might be carrying the Ebola virus.
The last time a "Christian"-- and I am being generous in giving the perp that title-- killed an abortion doctor was 2009. Before that, it was in 1998. Murder is murder, but to act like anti-abortion terror is being committed on anything close to the scale of Islamic terrorism is absurd spotlighting.
Or general welfare... or something.
Because after all, once plans have been written or orders put in place, the President is helpless to cancel them. Idiot.

Also strange-- it's mostly Dems who voted for the health care bill last year that CUT MEDICARE.
... with explosive charges.
I hear they fought back a little.

Well, that's just magical considering that those tax cuts were ACROSS THE BOARD.
What would you put on it?
Most of what I see posted on Facebook doesn't scream "literacy".
Basically any repair chain that is NOT a dealer will do that for free, or at least waive the fee if you let them fix it.

Education? You mean the kind that largely comes from books? Like history books? They're just stories.

I think it's pretty special in the size and scope.

Nah, the Greeks are pussycats. Just stay away from large cisterns.
