No one ran dual-core desktops at home in 2004. Multithreaded CPUs and multi-socket motherboards were common on the high end, but AMD and Intel's designs weren't even released yet; that is, NO ONE had them.
I don't see how buying a house is a requirement for marriage. I do have to say that even if I were single, I would have bought one. I want to own property and no longer am interested in dealing with landlords... unless I'm the landlord.
I don't see why you'd have to possess an original poster. By definition, anything in the public domain is up for grabs. I could just perfectly redraw a Boop poster from memory.
Your explanation before 1998 was still a little simplistic. If you didn't renew your copyrights under the old, OLD (pre-1976) rules, they expired. That's why some of these Betty Boop cartoons are in the public domain even though they're from the 1930s. There was also some sort of transitional period due to the 1976 legislation that makes it really complex.
I bought KQ IV from a friend in high school and played it on my Turbo XT. When years later I finally got a machine with a sound card, I was disappointed to find that I had the AGI version. Then again, I hear the AGI version is rare so maybe it's worth something to a collector now:-P
Does the Bravia have some kind of generic cable HDTV converter in it? Because any TV made in the last two years has a digital broadcast receiver for HDTV.
We don't need weather stations in the Arctic [nsidc.org] and Antarctic [nasa.gov] to know that it's warming there. We can just observe that the ice is continuing to melt.
Are you really that stupid? The EPA wants to regulate carbon dioxide emissions, thus it must be poisonous! Every animal emits it. At least you're not alone: the Slashdot brain-drain is most evident in your "insightful" mod. I never thought I'd see the day when a forum for "geeks" was populated by morons who don't even know basic biology.
The next depression in the USA will be caused by the Fed overprinting money and causing hyperinflation. You'll be able to get your money, but it will be worthless by the next day.
It's great that you don't have to worry about a run on the banks. Unfortunately, instead we have to worry about our money becoming worthless as more of it is printed to bail out failing financial institutions instead of liquidating them.
HOLY CRAP-- the Great Depression occurred AFTER the Fed was created and lasted twelve years-- and you say Reagan created long recessions? You also have a little post hoc going on their with your "Republican presidents create recessions" theory-- especially considering that Congress creates budgets. Before the Fed, the Depression/Panic of 1893 lasted five years. So did the one in 1873, although it was not as deep.
Like this?

Just a nitpick, but if Congress did find a way to fire all those judges, it would be the President who would appoint new ones for Congress to confirm.

Post hoc, ergo propter hoc?
It's true. With Depends, you can empty your bladder and procrastinate any time you want!

We're not polluting the water; the water comes out of the ground as brine and is already "polluted". We're pumping it back in.
Did you forget to take your meds today?
Thanks, was tetter source.
On the plus side, they're worth almost $34/oz.
Twilight: the series. YAY!!!!11111

I never did find the lamp in "Voodoo Castle". That was annoying.

Sounds really scientific.
Because there isn't any water trapped under the ground. Everyone knows it just comes out of the tap!

Really? What's easier: to mine more gold, or print more paper? Hint: scarcity.

If you base your arguments on straw men, you really have no arguments to speak of.
It all makes sense when you remember that Frank also opposed tighter regulation of Fannie and Freddie in 2003.
