I would worry more for Alcohol Pops. These look like a soda, but contains quite alot of alcohol. They were even sold in vending machines here.
IMHO young kids shouldn't be left unsupervised on a party.
Sure, ignoring the technical difficulties here, the problem is much of the debris isn't a ferromagnetic metal. (paint for example) So your magnet would only attract a small part of the debri.
Another problem is finding these particles, most of the junk are only as big as a fingernail.
We release enormouse amounts of enviroment unfriendly stuff, and each year this amount increases. We would need enormouse amounts of this nanostuff to remove it.
And who is going to pay for that? The oil-maffia?
Better spend that money on developing enviroment friendly energy.
Perhaps in a few years they can (dis)prove the braindamage that cell phones and powerlines cause.
If 60MW of EM radiation doesn't cause any harm, then I don't think 2W of cell phone EM power will.
