Correct. The bones typically heal, and you can often forget about the trauma in the years afterwards. Nasty pictures can haunt you the rest of your life if they are nasty enough.
Really?
If that kinda thing bothers you, then you should not be in the line of work that requires that type of viewing.
But I hardly think that looking at images will warp your mind, curve your spine and lost the war for the allies....
Rarely do you need ID to buy alcohol once over age 30 or have any grey hair. You usually pay taxes (which taxes?) with a check, which doesn't require an ID per se, but has your info on the check--though they don't really care who pays your taxes. There is typically a stub to show whose taxes are being paid. Lots of people don't drive, go to school, fly or have bank accounts.
They require ID to go into the court buildings, many if not most federal buildings, etc.
There are a TON of things requiring an ID....try boarding an airplane without one and see how that goes for you.
And yet, you can't produce one to vote?
IN most states that require an ID, you can GET a FREE ID....
So if a construction job says they have a team of medics on the scene in case you get injured, and then you fall from a three story scaffolding and break your arm only to be told to suck it up or GTFO, that's okay in your world because you should have been able to handle breaking your arm?
I think there is a BIG difference between physically breaking bones or worse on your body....vs being offended by 'naughty pictures'.
So you are part of the current lot of suckers who replaced the last lot of suckers who finally wizened up that they weren't making money and doing stupid amounts of unpaid hours... SPOILER ALERT... eventually you'll come to the same conclusion that its actually costing you more than you earn and look for a job at McDonalds. Then the next bunch of starry eyed suckers will move right in and start the process all over again. Despite P. T. Barnum's alleged assertion being true, there is still a finite number of suckers who'll fall for the Uber trap, at this point they'll end up with the drivers who literally cant get work anywhere else and will put up with sub poverty line wages and corporate abuse.
You and others seem to consider the Uber/Lyft things, and possibly other 'gig' options...as something you do for FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT.
In many, if not most cases, this is not the case.
It is a way to earn a bit of extra money on the side.
You might have fred who is off regular job one day, and for a couple hours he decides to drive a bit on Uber, rather than watch cartoons.
Apple doesn't, but MAN they really make it hard not to pay for an upgraded iCloud account if you're using one of their devices.
Interesting, I"ve never run into this with my Apple stuff (iPad, iPhone and mbp).
In fact, until just recently, I'd never really even used the iCloud that came free with it, and I only use that just enough now to help keep sync between the 3 items the messages, etc.....
I've never seen a reason to, nor felt compelled to pay for iCloud and I use my Macs for a LOT of stuff.....can you give some examples where they are making "it hard not to pay for an upgraded iCloud account if you're using one of their devices."
The call for this is because those types of rifles have very little purpose for hunting or self defense.
Hmm...I don't recall any time before in the US where you can or cannot own property because of need.
Do I need a Porsche, well, probably not, but I want one and as long as I operate it properly, I should be able to own and use one.
Beyond that, are my constitutional rights based on my NEED of them at the time?
A semi-auto rifle can be an excellent self defense weapon by the way. Remember, and AR 15 is nothing more than a semi-automatic rifle...it just happens to be "scary looking" and black, but it functions just the same as other semi-auto rifles...or even semi-auto pistols for that matter. Hell, the round in an AR is a very small caliber....are you more scared of a small.556 round from the AR 15, or a semi-auto rifle chambered in.308? I'll give you a hint, the latter is a MUCH more powerful.
And...there are other semi-auto rifles that will shoot each round I listed above that are in less scary looking configurations as the common "AR" looking rifle...but are just as effective. Are you wanting to ban all semi-auto weapons.
And finally...where in the constitution does it stipulate what the use of the weapon a citizen is required? Nothing in there about hunting, etc.
Frankly, if you go back and look at the founding fathers, much of what they wrote there was with reference to having weapons in case the government became tyrannical, as that they had just come off a war with Great Britain , and they know even a home grown government might some day become too overbearing.
If nothing else, I love having my guns for shooting targets, if nothing else, that is a use for them, although I shouldn't need to have a "use" for them to own them.
Nice, let's compare a mostly rural state to one of our biggest urban areas on homicide rates. That's just terribly impressive on your part.
But, everyone said the gun violence problem in IL was due to easy guns from Indiana next door....it seems a valid statement I made.
Compare cities in IL to similar cities in Indiana....is the gun violence in the whole state of Indiana worse than in Illinois? Since guns are less restricted in Indiana, you'd expect so per the gun control arguments, eh?
It's sad, but kids die from a number of things....far more die in auto accidents here than "mass shootings"....
Goddammit America, every other developed country on the world has figured out how to greatly reduce gun deaths.
From your quote and your Username....I take it you're not from or in the US.
So, its really NONE of your freakin' business, now...is it?
You have more a chance of winning the Powerball lottery twice in a month than to get killed by an AR shooter....you likely can get struck by lightening a few times more than you have the odds on you getting shot and killed.
If you're in Canada...stay there and enjoy it, leave us the fuck alone please.
Nothing wrong at removing weapons of war from the hands of people who shouldn't have them. More kids will stay alive because of this.
Hmm.....if you are saying criminals shouldn't have them to use to break the law, I agree with you.
If you are saying law abiding US citizens should not be able to have semi-automatic rifles (and handguns) I disagree with you, as does the Constitution (shall not be infringed upon?).
Also, the AR-15 is not a weapon of war, it is only semi-automatic, not fully auto like real weapons of war.
Yes, it does use the same round, but if you were to say we cannot use ANY round that the military uses or has used, that leave us only maybe with.22s.....
So sorry....not gonna happen.
There's nothing really that differentiates the AR15 from any other semi-auto rifle that the general public has access to.
About five years ago when more and more things started showing up that listened and watched inside our homes, I posed the question of what would it be like to live in a world where you don't have privacy even in the sanctity of your own home, being watched and listened to 24/7/365; I was dismissed as a nutjob and ignored, everything I pointed out likewise dismissed as nonsense. Yet here we are today, with devices intended to be installed in EVERY ROOM OF YOUR HOUSE that will watch and listen to you. How do you all feel about this now?
Well, no one said you had to BUY them.....I'm not terribly worried, until they become government enforced mandatory....
Because people drive the guns in from Indiana? This isnÃ(TM)t difficult.
Hmm...then I"m guessing that the gun crime and murder rates are exponentially higher in Indiana than they are in IL, or even just Chicago alone, right?
I mean, hell, they don't even have to drive the guns in there illegally do they?
Hmm...well, once again, this gunman used a pistol illegally in the commission of this crime.
I think we must immediately begin once again, calling for the ban on AR-15 and other scary looking rifles, and banning standard 30 round capacity magazines!!!
I mean, this is usually what the anti-gunners start yelling after a shooting, right....?
...but it seems unlikely that people who own ("investors")...
As an investor that has seen his stock value RISE by quite a large margin, I for one can say I don't see an upside from breaking them up any time soon....
Retail and AWS are nice to have among the variety of growth channels, and them adding on with other businesses they are generating (advertising right now is exciting to me as that they are now #3 in world for advertising as I understand it)....I'm happy to let my stock value grow.
I just wish I had bought more and earlier than I did.....
My girlfriend has the latest iPhone through her work, I have the latest Pixel, whenever we go to use her camera, her comment is "no, use your phone, it takes better photos".
It may just be that she's outsmarted you....in that if YOU are taking all the pics with your camera, then SHE is more likely to be IN all of the pictures taken when ya'll are out....?
The curse of the photographer, you're never in that many pictures since you're behind the camera 99% of the time.
We have a lot of home cooked meals but we also actually like eating restaurant food too.
We liked eating out too, but we simply couldn't really afford to eat out very often...which is what a lot of people on this story are trying to say, that it is cheaper to eat out all the time.
Really?
If that kinda thing bothers you, then you should not be in the line of work that requires that type of viewing.
But I hardly think that looking at images will warp your mind, curve your spine and lost the war for the allies....
--with apologies to GC
They used to take this for granted a couple decades ago, but somewhere people lost the ability to see that for some reason....
They require ID to go into the court buildings, many if not most federal buildings, etc.

I back my phone up to the computer....no need for iCloud for that...
Interesting, I"ve never run into this with my Apple stuff (iPad, iPhone and mbp).

Exactly what threat to society is it, such that it must be protected against at all costs?
I know it is used against drug money, which I don't really care that much about...but what real threat to our society is it?
Well, no one said you had to BUY them.....I'm not terribly worried, until they become government enforced mandatory....
Hmm....my thoughts were along the lines of "Hmm...a bunch of NEW spying, always on listening devices I don't need....
Hey, buddy....just what you see on the wall, eh?
