ADSL in NZ is limited to 6GB international, upload AND download. I use it. And US$40 is about right. Over 6gig it's NZ 20cents/MB (about US 13 cents/MB)
I kid you not. my first kiss:) I was 15 and getting my first kiss. Except my mind was on his very cool P2 with 16MB ram on his desk. I only had an Amiga500. Ah memories. It was a sweet computer. My Amiga still runs. The P2 is probably landfill. The Kiss? I can't remember:)
Yep. The Ihug ISP in NZ offered unlimited broadband. However I had a battle with them over the definition of 'unlimited' It ended with me ripping a page out of the Oxford Dictionary with 'unlimited' underlined and sending it to their CEO. The result was an apology (nice) but I was also informed that my usage was excessive, but when I wanted to know what 'fair' usage was they couldn't tell me. So I told them to shove it.
When i was 8 I wanted a Barbie, but dad got me (himself) a C-64 instead. I cried for days, then started to take an interest in the games. Of course after a while I started learning BASIC. After the 64, we got an Amiga 500 and I continued with BASIC then onto machine language from "COMPUTE!" Magazine, anybody remember that excellent magazine? I often wonder what would have happened if I had got the Barbie instead, as i think the C-64 gave me an interest in tech subjects. I'm an electrician in New Zealand, and there are very few female ones here.
