"Jonathan G. Parker, 19, of Fort Loudoun, Pa., was arraigned Tuesday one count of felony daytime burglary."
Is there a felony nighttime burglary? How about after nap burglary?
...imagine this guy's facial expression when he realized he forgot to log off, he was probably right around the corner too, or when he logged on when he got home. I'm not sure which is funnier.
... turned off the monitor thinking he logged off, that would definitely match his stupidity. Although in the old old old old days, turning off the monitor, DOES actually close a session. Maybe he is a baby boomer thief?
Your car doesn't necessarily mean you, in fact in Manhattan, NY, most people don't use their own transportation, and as far as I know, most crimes nowadays are emerging from there:)
Is anyone Windows 3.11? I seriously doubt it, since it is a work group OS, mostly used at the work place. If an office is still using Windows 3.11, they are either out of business or have replaced it with another OS in order to keep up with new software.
"Microsoft expects its customers will run their apps remotely in data centers, and clearly expects the same of its employees."
Apparently Microsoft cannot distinguish between the functions of a customer and their engineers.
They don't want you to go to the doctor just yet, until the vaccines are available... Then you will dragged by your noze (or by your fear) to go there.
What makes teens stupid these days certainly isn't texting; it is the lousy below standard education, TV brainwashing, and the "American dream" house, that sits on a lot 100 miles away from any museum, cultural center and interaction with day-to-day events.
.. no reaction to injury, internal or external, which could lead to instant death at some point. This is why most good doctors do not prescribe pain medication for life threatening, pain-related illnesses.
Sir you may or may not have cancer; this test was inconclusive, another test is needed.
Why go through the trouble, why not straight test for cancer? Come back when results are 100% accurate.
.. so interesting that people can actually chose which operating systems to run; what these comparisons don't mention is, what about the software that I run? Will it work if I switch OS? (rhetorical question). Knowing the answer, I will certainly not switch OS.
Two: Leopard runs on Mac not on PC; I don't see what the purpose of the comparison is. Am I going to buy a different piece of hardware, because I want to switch OSes? In that case, I would install Linux and a dual boot system.
That being said, if I am buying a new PC, and I am not attached to any software, which OS should I install? Well for most people, the OS is pre-installed, so they have no choice. Few manufacturers offer Linux as an alternative to Windows.
The best solution? Get yourself a kick ass hardware, install VMWare, and install all the OSes you want; your hardware shouldn't have to dictate which OS to run and you OS shouldn't have to dictate which software to run.
Those who claim that 32-bit windows software runs 'just fine' under 64-bit Windows OS, don't run multi-threaded, memory intensive and complex apps, such as renderers, etc...
I think there are. Many 32-bit apps don't run very well (or at all) under a 64-bit OS. This is why open source software is so great, you can re-compile for a new target OS, without having to wait on the bureaucratic stuff.
.. read the article, and for good reason. I want to make sure, that the frontpage article is accurate enough.
Pardon my French, by how can you access RAM above 4GB, if you are running a 32-bit OS? I'm not tech savvy, how would can code access memory it can't see?
WWW stands for the World Wide Web. There was no provision for security when protocols were originally written. Quit blaming facebook and the like, on insecurity. For whatever reason, people believe that if a website is well known, that the people running it will take good care of you. Quite the opposite.
Most drugs are funneled to the US, not within Mexico. Something has to be done IN the US. Either legalize marijuana and use the saved resources to fight cocaine and heroin trafficking.

Cell Phone with your recorded voice is you. Car with a parking attendant, my grandmother or a thief, doesn't mean me.

.. for more car theft now. Criminal steals your car, commits crime, and you're pretty much toast.

Is the virus airborne, or is everyone french-kissing at PAX?

There is a lot of truth in what you are saying, especially the part about transitioning from Manufacturing to Science, Math, Technology and Languages.
Everything is a conductor to a certain extent. Hair is not a great conductor, it is a semi-conductor, which is what is needed in this case.
