Is this just new media they are talking about or is older media included? I remember a long time ago it seemed as if the quality of the media was a lot better than it is now(makes sense). I have cds over 5 years old that work better than ones i burn today. Is this a problem with the quality of the media, the write speed, or just all CDs?
a year ago i would have been surprised this, but my aunt made it clear to me why this is true. I lived with my aunt and uncle for a few months and convinced them to get broadband. After i moved out they were pretty happy with their service. A few months later they had constant problems, most of which involved what appeared to be a bad cable modem. They started to hate it becuase they could only get online for a few minutes at a time. They just wanted their old reliable aol back becuase they just didnt have time to fix the new stuff that they werent used to. I think they cancelled their service and returned the equipment last week.
for software i usually setup firefox(automatic popup blocking) and spybot or adaware. Teach the person how to scan themselves, and do windoze updates and everything seems to work out fine.
yeah id have to agree with you here. some girls are snobs about watches(my g/f). My g/f bought me an awesome watch and now when other girls notice my watch she can say i got that one for him!
ok first off why are you hotswapping a ps/2 device? how often does that really happen. Usually i plug in my mouse and then its there... I love ps2 for the fact that it doesnt have to autodetect. I LOVE the fact that when i turn on my laptop with the usb mouse connected, the mouse doesnt work(logitech) unless i unplug it and plug it in. Ive seen the same thing happen on desktops.
You are trashing on ps/2 but you seem to be the part of a select audience that likes to have 8 keyboards attached.
PS/2 mice are handy because they arent usb. Using a ps/2 mouse just clears up one more usb slot which can be used for the billion other peripherals out there. If you like 2 mice and 2 keyboards then why not get one ps/2 and one usb. Then you would have 2 usb used instead of 4 and might even be able to hook up your printer/camera/mp3 player.
altiris pc transplant was never intended to xfer that much user data i dont think. It was a program intended to transfer a users customization settings. instead of using pc transplant why not make a rip of the users data or even just back it up, and not include it in the pc transplant procedure.
Altiris is absolutely fabulous, does everything i need it to do and more. You can image a whole lab, from creating the image to imaging all the machines without leaving your desk, in a very quick and efficient manner. you could even put it on a schedule to reimage all machines at midnight if you wanted. It can even be conditional! Love the software. The RIP(rapid install package) software is amazing. If i want to make a registry change on all my machines, regardless of which windows version all i have to do is create an exe with alriris' software and "blast" it out to all the machines. and thats only the beginning!
why is it that this always gets left out.
this is my fav ipod app by far

Couldnt all of this been answered by just reading over each type of RAID?
i hope everyone that manufactures SDRAM sues Rambus for conspiring to eliminate SDRAM.

exactly my point, although not well illustrated by me, detecting a mouse should never be an issue if one was plugged in at boot time.
