All these illustrious game designers are wasting their time. Until 2025, home computers won't be sufficiently advanced to do accurate AI. Until then, these "AI" programmers are just programming a complex system of input and output.
Companies just want customers to go through the traditionial support lines in order to provide statistics about problems. If everyone uses BBR's forums, then the company doesn't have statistics about problems with it's modems, then it doesn't know to issues patches or not.
This legislation has been abused like a village bicycle!
Why the heck does it still exist? You know its bad, I know its bad, if you explain it to a regular joe, he will know it is bad.
Whats happening? Anyone who wants someone else on the internet to shut up, uses DMCA.
Is it too broad? Heck yeah! Are lawyers using it whenever they can? Sure,/. is full of stories like that. Needless to say fatwallet is an interesting concept that deservers a fighting chance. I am happy that they decided to show spine. Real spine like that is seriously lacking these days.
I really hope that fatwallet has a clued-in lawyer for this. I hope that the judge will be half as clued-in as the above mentioned lawyer. I hope fatwallet wins fat damages.
I mean, Fat damages, damages so fat, next time greedy_company_01 comes to their lawyers crying, the lawyers instead of saying "yes sir, straight away sir, we will use DMCA sir" will say "erm, you have absolutely no case whatsoever, if you want to continue legal action, this will cost you way more than its costing you now"
Lawyers aint cheap and when court orders someone to pay for the damages/legal costs, it aint cheap. Thus, one of the great ways to defeat DMCA absue in the future is to make it costly for those idiots who pull out DMCA whenever they think they are loosing a few cents to competition/someone smarter.
So, in conclusion of my long-winded post, OG OG fatwallet's lawyer! DIE DMCA, DIE!;)
Son, take your ritalin before posting ok and try not to do really long sentences like this because they annoy us they might even teach you at scool that these are called run-on sentences but if you want to keep writing like this because well all know youre a 13 year old off the bat
"That may be true if it were peeling off the copyright instead of the bitrate."
I don't think you read the article, so I'll summarize it again in a more informative way:
There is a technology called "Bitrate peeling" that the Ogg Vorbis team is considering adding into the codec which would allow an audio stream's bit rate to be dynamically raised and lowered based on connection speed availability.
This would help net radio *immensely* because the cable modem users don't have to use the same 60 kbps stream as the 28.8k modem users, and the 28.8k modem users don't have to use the same 192kbps stream as the cable modem users. Also, it would decrease the cost of operation for the net radio stations that run multiple servers in order to meet the connection needs of different users.

Why does anybody waste their time writing those?
It's not like they're going to be right anyway.

Urban decay just fascinates me.
One step closer to the vision of NYC in AI (the movie by Spielberg)....

But, in my short life so far, I haven't seen a solution for a problem as good as this one.
Poorly organized. Lynx-optimized website (with only two pages), only two months to write papers, an overly broad topic, and being held in a pseudo-third world country, away from the main countries where most research is being done, don't exactly add up to success. I'll be surprised if they register more than 500 attendees.
