Since bonobos are the same genus, I'm not really surprised that they would be as close to us, genetically, as the other members of that genus (there are only two species in the genus Pan). But maybe there's just something I'm missing about how biology works (which wouldn't be surprising either since I'm not a biologist).
Yeah, I see this attitude a lot. It doesn't stop me, because I don't associate problems with installing/using an OS with its jerkier adherents, but I can see where it would definitely turn some people off.
I use mine all the time. I use it for writing, maintaining my contacts, sending email, posting to my journal, ad nauseam. I need a new one though -- mine's way obsolete.
