Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Where in this amendment does the statement "Seperation of Church and State" occur?
Hero:A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life: soldiers and nurses who were heroes in an unpopular war.
Not the cowardice shown by those unwilling to fight for what their country.
It's pretty simple. Anyone that joins the armed forces doesn't think.
Ignorance:The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed.
Your statement is rather ignorant considering some in the military complete...one of the most difficult academic programs in the world.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Nuclear_Power_School/ which requires a large quantity of thinking.
The thoughts I had after reading the article (yes, I did)... The thoughts we have and the decisions we make are not always initialized in the concious mind. They are running at the basic level, underneath our concious "windowing system" of thoughts. We are merely interpretting what the system is doing and displaying it in a fashion that is usable.
From what I understood the monkeys were given three different colors to eat. They had all three to choose from at the start. Surely the monkeys would have eaten from all of the colors. Only when they were forced to choose between two did they discount the value of the blue.
"Once a monkey was observed to show an equal preference for three colors of M&Ms - say, red, blue and green - he was given a choice between two of them. If he chose red over blue, his preference changed and he downgraded blue. When he was subsequently given a choice between blue and green, it was no longer an even contest - he was now much more likely to reject the blue."
I also thought about how marketing fits into this... I don't know that program/OS, therefore it must not be good.
"Team rules bar reselling game tickets for a profit."
It is not about anti-competitive sale tactics. The team rules do not forbid any resale, just resale which results in a profit. How is the team wrong for wanting the tickets to remain at a 'reasonable' price?

These have been around for quite a while. I remember a band from Colorado that actually recorded a few songs using the Transperformance Self-Tuning guitar. Fourth Estate was the band. It is very different listening to the pitches change during the middle of a riff.

I am curious how the bettery life compares for two relatively identical laptops with one running Vista (aero on) and ubuntu/kubuntu with beryl. Since Dell will be shipping laptops later this month with ubuntu Feisty it seems like a fair comparison...for battery life only.

When I think of a chicken I really don't picture a vicious hunter. Maybe there is more to the theory some scientists have that the T-Rex was actually a scavenger.
Doing the quick math on that, the tank would have to be 2m x 5m x 10m or 5m x 5m x 4m (6ft x 15ft x 30ft or 15ft x 15ft x 12ft). I don't think that would fit in the car. Unless it turns into a hot air balloon.

The site allows Opera in when the Mask as IE is used. All the while running kubuntu 6.10. All part of the silly DRM that is coming with release of Vista.
I think it would be nice to have a 20GB hard drive in my back pocket that I could connect to any computer to share files with friends without having to remove it from my pocket. For the computers that do not have bluetooth support or wifi, a USB thumbdrive with built in bluetooth or wifi would allow connection to my personal server. Additionally a portable application could be built to make use of the bluetooth or wifi on the USB thumbdrive that would not need to be installed on the host computer to work.
Just an idea.

As for the conspiracy, there was much todo during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. There were defense personnel who were ready to lend assistance to the state of Louisiana. They were not able to since the Louisiana state government did not ask for it. The provision in this bill would allow the President to send troops to help those citizens in need without having to waste time waiting for the state government. Many people blame the President for not doing enough before/after Katrina. This is one step the government has taken to prevent that from happening again.

Deregulation?? Didn't something similar happen with cable television? I seem to remember some politician worried about the price of cable TV. Now look at the prices, they are astonishing. Maybe deregulation would work if there were someone to regulate how the parties involved operated. But then would that be real deregulation? Sometimes money can't be the bottom line, especially when the service is of great importance.

Now that would really suck.

Full Disclosure: I work in the only nuclear field to never have a nuclear accident.
We all live within the "kill zone" of an asteroid hurtling through space right now. Do you lose sleep over that? Mike

Simplicity. The formatting is less crucial if the message is conveyed with fewer words.

Just one question. When the planet is destroyed and the human race is history, who will the evil corporations sell their crap to?
