The changes to the game have been an improvement from SC1 in my eyes. Basic macro is a lot easier (multiple building selection) and the micro has a lot of fun units to play with (blink stalkers).
The rock-paper-scissors match-up of the 3 races has settled quite nicely since the beginning of beta and is more fun to play overall for a few reasons. The AI for swarms of units has been improved and because some overpowered abilities such as psi storm have been changed. Now you see more storms but they have decreased radius and damage due to the +25 energy upgrade (can storm on warp-in).
Overall this game is a blast and it has a ton of modding potential as well, more than SC1. I recommend if you want to get comfortable quickly with the match-ups, watch some youtube vids of some of the high-level players. Check youtube for a few key casters - HuskyStarcraft, HDStarcraft, PsyStarcraft, AskJoshy, Day[9].
"Video Professor" could mean a ton of different things...
- University Professor who teaches about "Video" or media in general
- Non-Marvel-World Super Villain
- Nickname for a sports superstar
- Software
I agree. Neverwinter Nights 2 was the biggest disappointment I've had in a game during the last few years. Since NWN 1 was such a blast; an old group of friends who played D&D together years before got it near the release date but since the game paused for everyone as soon as one player talked to an NPC. It made the experience hard to enjoy.
Some feats in the manual weren't included in the game it shipped with (volley).
Demigod? This game rocks so far from what I've played - 3 days straight.
The game is well-balanced and the style of rpg/strategy is very refreshing. They have an amazing start to a game that I hope they continue to support so a strong community develops.
They just need to add a few more features;
-Replays
-Multi-player Game Filtering (like TF2)
-Tutorial / Single-Player Campaign that introduces each Demigod
-Ability to click on the minimap to zoom the screen to that location
Did I miss any features that should be included? (perhaps in a patch)
