story time. once upon a time, in the early days of iip, a #teensex or something showed up, i forget what it was now, anyhow, they were asked that if they're gonna do that, at least +s it, so yeah, short version, there is more interesting sutff out there :-p.

  2. Re:NOT the government! on FTC Encourages Consumers to Forward Them Spam · · Score: 1

To be fair, a large part of the problem is that the RBL has been known to often block people for no good reason, particularly in their DUL service (of which my business connection on which I am allowed to run a server is still listed, even though I have never run an open relay, and if you read the DUL FAQ, they will verify that open relay and spam is not the reason, because to be on the DUL they just have to say that the company selling to you is selling something to consumers.) So yeah, I'd be complaining about an upstream RBL too.

It'd rock if it just blocked spammers...

Yes. this can be done, and it's not even hard - we (computerbank, http://www.computerbank.org.au) do this with some custom scripts we wrote to automagically partition, untar, detect hardware, and configure X and audio. It works remarkably well for large rollouts... I'd imagine that there is a better solution than ours, but send me email if you are interested (jaymz@dspvideo.com, but audio instead of video :-p)

If they did this without knowing what the FSF and RMS believe in, then they are stupid and deserve everything they get. They have made their bed, sun included, and now they must lie in it.

The reason for only half of the sites finding your flash, is that a bunch of sites actully require *shockwave* flash, which is different to ordinary flash, and is not available on linux.
