Isn't it still a problem that a game company has people working on Sunday? It's a game for crying out loud, the world can wait a few more days for it and maybe we can all try to live our lives first instead of work first.
It's called up upselling. Their costs probably went down so they could keep the same or similar margins and reduce the price. They most likely have a higher margin on the 1GB and try to lure you there. Look at the regular iPods...$299 for 20GB or $399 for 60GB. All of Apple's products are priced this way.
You bring up good points, but point I think Nikon could easily argue in court by saying their (possibly patented but I'm not going to bother to research it now) method of gather white balance data produces proprietary information that is part of Nikon's overall camera technology and therefore copyrightable.
Adobe is trying to strong-arm Nikon. Nikon does license the encrypted format infomation. Adobe either doesn't like the terms or wants to try to get something for nothing and releases this story to the media saying its not their fault they can't break the law. Hoping that everyone will scream at Nikon for allowing this to happen, in turn Nikon will need to fold to save public opinion.
Lots of people have file formats that are DMCA protected, including Adobe. And I bet Adobe wants you to pay their licensing fees...
Have you not used digital photo management software? People are already creating digital albumns and putting their phtotos together. With iPhoto it even has 'Smart Albumns' which group photos on the fly.
iPod Photo supports and syncs with albumns from iPhoto on a Mac or with Adobe Elements or Adobe Album on a Windows PC.
The best IT people understand why/how something works (or why/how it doesn't). These are generally not the IT people that just make it work by following the manual from their cert class.
I don't think you are allowed to pass judgement on Dragster until you ride it. I too was aphrensive about waiting 2 hours to ride it but being out at Cedar Point for a two day "coaster trip" that was the point.
After riding it, I would definitely wait again 2 hours in line to ride it. It is like nothing you have ever ridden before at a park and like nothing you have ever felt before unless you fly fighter jets for the Air Force. It's an amazing ride.
Actually, Alt is the same as Option on a Mac keyboard and F4 is also the 'lower volume' key. So Option+LowerVolume (Alt+F4) opens the sound control panel. Same for Option+F3 or F5 and then F1 and F2 for brightness opens the display control panel.
Maybe he is so brazen because someone is paying to to be so? Plenty of other large corporations out there are jealous of Apple's position in the online music industry.
We may not know that it deters because what terrorist is going to call in and say, "I was going to blow up a building but those damned cameras have changed my mind."
Camera's saw the Oklahoma truck bomb, but it still blew up.
Camera's saw the 9/11 hijackers at the airports boarding the planes, but they still hit their targets.
Camera's aren't going to prevent a strike in its exocution phase or someone willing to die to carry out an attack.

Where are you? Year 2002?
Apple hasn't made or sold Dual G4 machines since the G5 was introduced. Apple still sold one configuration of G4, a single 1.25Ghz unit, so some people could still boot OS 9. Now they are discontinuing this unit and the only PowerMacs sold will be G5 units.
If Google sinks without a trace tomorrow, at least they've forced other competitors to follow suit and remove paid listings as a revenue option.
In classic Microsoft fashion however, as soon as Google sank to never come back, they would role out there next version with paid listings firmly in place.
If the companies are withholding income for the IRS you can adjust the amounts withheld through your W4 forms filed with each company.
Using this method you can take that estimate of what you expect to make, use the IRS tax tables to figure the approximate tax you will owe for the coming year, then adjust the exemptions and extra dollar amount withheld from one or more check so that by the end of the year you near break even (or just a slight refund to be safe).
As long as you have paid 80% of your taxes owed through witholding for any given year the IRS doesn't care where it came from and their is no penalty.
What are the chances Microsoft did this on purpose? Note that its older versions of the OS that are leaked. Next up Redmond will probably urge everyone to upgrade away from such insecure OSes and thus also give them an excuse to stop supporting them.
Thank god, finally. This was a major annoyance...using tabs but not having any more than four elements at a time downloading sort of defeated the tabs purpose.

They have? Apple being such an open company and all with their future products.

So, um... doesn't that make them the second most important?
Your argument is flawed. You would also have to pay for a license to have a copy of Windows to run the Anti-Spayware software on.

Um, so the XServe G5 that has been in our server room since March isn't out yet? Wow, should I return it then? :-p

Actually QuickTime 6.3 does have APIs for this sort of thing...3GPP.
Obvously someone edited your textbooks too... The Amish are in PA. The Mormons are in UT.

We are beginning to live in a trustless society.
