I'm no hosting/cloud service provider. I have a pretty solid rig outfitted with a boot SSD, 6 Mechanical drives, and a BluRay burner.
I bought six of the 4TB Seagates when they first came out and all but one had died by the fall of last year. I replaced the 4Tb Seagates with 8GB HGSTs the first day I could, and all have been working fine since installation. (though I did have a problem getting one of the HGST drives recognized by the OS (Win 8.1 Pro x64)
I do. I use a $39 dashcam that I bought on Amazon. If I am in an accident, and it is the other driver's fault, I will have a record of exactly what happened. If it is my fault, I can quickly detach the camera from my windshield and hide it in the glove compartment.

The 2nd day of using the GearPro, I almost ran into someone because I wasn't paying attention to the road because I was fiddling with my camera like a moron.
Fixed that for you.
The 2nd day of posting on/. I spelled, "Go", incorrectly because I was more concerned with posting as AC than looking at my fucking keyboard. Moron.
for personal use, I still access many of my generic "CompUSA" branded CDRs from 1997 that read just fine and I have many others from different manufacturers that are still working fine.
At work, I create several CDs per week and I've never encountered problems with them after 4+years of use.
I lived with the OEM fans for 2 days then sunk $219 into the Noctuas (~$22 per fan at the time and I got a total of 10) and now the thing is whisper quiet, even with 8 fans going.
Also, The hot-swap drive bay door had a hinge pin break off and, when I initially contacted them about a replacement, they wanted to sell me the whole front panel for $175!!!
Have never been "happy" with the case but it does do its job so I haven't replaced it yet.
I've watched, "What Dreams May Come" so I know Robin Williams is on a rescue mission to save Ian, and they'll soon reside in a wonderland where all package dependencies auto-resolve themselves and SystemD really "is" the best solution.

when daylight savings time ends.
A post like that deserves a real name next to it, not A/C, so you can be recognized for a clear, well-thought out response.
You should be grateful for the Jews...If not for them you'd have nothing to piss and moan about while cowardly hiding behind the AC moniker.
Technology will just reinforce their current belief...gotcha.
GoPro equipment is madly expensive. (snip)
Mine was more like "Mildly annoyed". Or maybe, "A bit put off"
You make videos of your commute to work??

Just double the number of licenses and add 300,000 (instead of 30)

And on that date in the future when they unthaw your brain you will see not one but TWO stories on /. about it.
If you wanna get technical about it, Germany has lost WAY more people to "gas" than probably the rest of the world combined...
