Wait are there actually music videos on MTV? Every now and then to prove some kind of point, I go to their website and look at their schedule to prove to someone that there is 0 music on that network. Where and when are music videos shown on MTV? Genuinely curious, I don't have cable TV any more.
AMD should stop making processors. The more they fight Intel, the more resources are wasted by both companies that could be spent on making better processors.
A little bit of a bad analogy, but I'm glad there's competition. I'd hate to only have once choice and have that choice be a monopoly.
I don't think I'm able to give into the shittiness that is 10, I might be able to stomach 8. I imagine support for older Windows versions will dry up when it comes to gaming.
I assume this means the Vive will actually be supported in Linux? I own one and keep telling myself that I'm going to have to switch to Linux for gaming after support for windows 7 dries up. I already use Linux for everything else.
Comparing successful games to the number of not-as-successful games is a bad metric. There's lots of shovelware VR titles just like there is any other open platform. There's also a lot of low-cost games that aren't trying to make AAA money.
This is a lot of bullshit. He was making a joke, it's very obvious. He wasn't espousing racist beliefs. Youtube and Disney took the clips out of context. Watch this video about the ordeal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLNSiFrS3n4
This also happened to another streaming personality, Destiny. He was having a debate about racism (he's against it), and said something along the lines of "If you're argument is 'n*ggers are too dumb to do X, Y and Z, then blah blah'. Speaking in the 3rd person; speaking as the very racists he's combating. I guess the N word is to controversial to say in any context, he was banned from Twitch.
And now I'm having trouble posting this because of the lameness filter! I can't say the N word here for the same reason! Jesus fuck! Yes I'm trying to say the full N word, no I'm not a racist, I'm sorry if you're offended, but fuck you for changing my speech.
This is only a quarter true. My girlfriend gets motion sickness very easily (even in a standard keyboard/mouse/monitor FPS). She doesn't get motion sickness in VR because it's natural and not counter-intuitive. She does get queasy when using artificial locomotion however. It really depends on the game or experience.
The only time I've ever gotten motion sickness in VR is when I tried that Deus Ex experience which is a port from the Oculus. There's buttons to rotate your view left and right which is really unnatural. I never get queasy otherwise, I don't think as many people get sick as you think.
VR is not dead and is in the early stages. The Oculus sucks though, I'm a Vive owner. Try some stuff in the Vive, you might become a believer.
I know an AC already asked this, but it bears repeating: wav?! really? You know flac exists, right? Ignoring the file size savings, don't you still want tags and bus transfer speed savings? The cpu used to decode flac is next to nothing.
Why do I need antivirus on the thing I use to start Steam? We mandate antivirus on our work computers, still hasn't stopped cryptolocker from encrypting stuff on network shares.
You fail to see a lot of things, I'm not sure how much clearer I can make this.
When a MUA defers all its decisions to the underlying OS, it technically is making a decision, but in essence it isn't. This distinction doesn't matter if your only option is to open it they way windows wants to open it or to not open it at all. Windows does things the wrong way, other operating systems handle this kind of situation better.
Have you heard of xdg-open? That's what many distros use. I just ran it on a shell script and it opened in kwrite rather than execute in bash. This is the workaround I've had to manually implement for my Windows clients so that they don't click on.js files and run them.
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
It's not up to the MUA, Outlook asks Windows what to open.js files with. Windows decides that the Windows Scripting Host is the best program to open this file with and the script gets executed. I used Linux as an example, but I'm sure other operating systems wouldn't replicate this retarded behavior, not even OSX.
Sure it is. It's "I was unhappy and it took time and money to fix that and the company should have helped me stay happy instead of allowing me to get more and more unhappy."
I watched Tron in 3D on my buddy's 3DTV with no glasses required. My eyes were comfortable and I didn't have any problems. I thought it was really cool for the first 15 minutes, but after that I totally forgot that I was watching in 3D. I just didn't care and barely noticed.
I even bought a big nice 3D monitor. I don't care for the 3D at all. I won't spend the $100 for nvidia's 3d glasses and instead spent $700 on a Vive and now I get a much better 3D experience.

I went out and bought one of the shitty USB memory sticks MS was hawking
You sure showed them!

A little bit of a bad analogy, but I'm glad there's competition. I'd hate to only have once choice and have that choice be a monopoly.
Games and GPU drivers will stop supporting it. I assume I'll keep wanting to play new games.
I don't think I'm able to give into the shittiness that is 10, I might be able to stomach 8. I imagine support for older Windows versions will dry up when it comes to gaming.
I answered my own question: SteamVR needs to be able to access the HTC Vive's USB devices.
That's a yes!
I assume this means the Vive will actually be supported in Linux? I own one and keep telling myself that I'm going to have to switch to Linux for gaming after support for windows 7 dries up. I already use Linux for everything else.

Well they do think it's ok, what are you going to do about it, pipsqueak?
I know, it's a rhetorical question. The answer is suffer :(
How is what he did racist? He made a joke and social commentary by saying "People will say terrible, racist things for a couple bucks."

I like Destiny's debates and Joe Rogan.

Work on your reading comprehension, dolt.
I'm sure if you email yourself a bash script on your Linux machine, it'll open in a text editor or at least confirm that you want to run it.
Windows is double stupid on this since they hide file extensions by default, making it easy to fool users.
I can't wait to see this error:
rm: The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program. Close the file and try again.
Sure it is. It's "I was unhappy and it took time and money to fix that and the company should have helped me stay happy instead of allowing me to get more and more unhappy."
So that employer made you miserable; did you sue them?
But they knew this was the job, right? Why would you take a job and then keep working a job that you can't stomach?
I'd be great for this job, I'm dead on the inside.
CARRIER HAS ARRIVED!
Let them keep their job.
