  11. I saw a program where they did some experiments, it was just after the shoebombers farcical attempt.

    IIRC the conclusion was that it might maybe - with a fair wind and if the gods wish it - puncture the pressure hull, but not catastrophically.

    Eh? Back when portable computers came with an implicit assumption that you have a towing hitch there was paperwork. It was work, and it was on paper. I'm not that decrepit and I've spent the odd train journey trying to threeconcile timesheets, invoices & bank statements, reading bastarding bug reports written by bugbrained bastards and the like.

    With a degree of coordination -- between vehicles, and with traffic infrastructure -- traffic chaos should theoretically be banished

    In practice, one faulty component - hardware or software, though most likely a carbon unit - will bring the whole rotten edifice down.

    The thing is, freeways have a different use case to city streets. On a city street there's a destination every few yards, whereas it's pretty rare a van driver makes a delivery to the third lamppost after milepost 47 on the I75 Northbound.

    Bizzare, there's one staring at me right now from the top of my BOSINUBAUTTA[1]. Found it while looking for something else. It's one of those with both 9 and 25 pin connectors.

    I also have a load of adapters and genderbenders somewhere, all joined together like a space ship. It's been so long since I used them they've probably seized together.
