    My life does not normally depend on my car working properly.

    If "working" means "starting" you're probably right.

    However to those of us with an IQ greater than the largest number on the gear lever it includes functions like "turning" and "stopping" which can be invaluable in certain circumstances.

    Most of the natives that died as a result of Europeans arriving in Americas died because of infection. This does not make it good but it is not a killing you make it be.

    It's possible to infect people intentionally. To take a totally hypothetical example that I completely made up, by supplying them with blankets that had previously been used by smallpox victims.

    They also produce a version for CPUs without PAE, because CERN have loads of old boards controlling $deityKnowsWhat.

    Very few mainline distros will work on machines like my old T-40. I think there's an LTS mint that does too.

    And for that it needs strong IP laws internationally.
    And for _that_ it needs insane IP laws domestically.

    Is there some mathematical formula that says IP laws reduce in strength by 57.2% on exiting across a national boundary?
