Well...I can guarantee that if you put a Linux or OS X box on the Internet that it would be attacked by exactly the same things. What's the point of this again?
If you can stay awake long enough, play for a few minutes and see what happens when the big critters appear. Framerate drops drastically and it becomes hard to control.
Why does it matter how many platforms they release it for? 1.1 million is 1.1 million. It's not like many people are buying multiple copies for different platforms.
I love when people hype up "free" software without thinking about all of the other things you need to have in place to get it working. Choosing a platform without looking at critical components like build tools and version control is inexcusable - find another job now before this project is completely doomed and you have no choice.
The only GPL code that has any real traction in the enterprise is Linux. And they've already stated that they're perfectly happy with version 2 of the GPL.
This is Slashdot. Inside the Slashdot bubble, nothing that Microsoft has ever done has been worth anything, and nothing that they ever do will be worth looking at. Bill Gates is evil. Linux and/or OS X have a huge, ever-growing percentage of the market share and will eventually take over the world. Neither has ever had a security problem that wasn't immediately and completely fixed. Firefox will destroy Internet Explorer. Vista and IE7 will be irrelevant. FreeBSD is dead. And whoever modded your post up will have it rated "Unfair" in metamoderation.
They're right on the money with GR2: Summit Strike. I still play it way more than GR: Advanced Warfighter. The maps are better, there's a lot more variety, and you don't have to deal with the kiddies who rig the game to get their rank up.
And Forza is still my racing choice. All of the idiots who play bumper cars instead of racing seem to have moved over to PGR3, and there's some great competition on Live in Forza.
"Dumping" is illegal.. That's when you sell something at an artificially low price for a period of time in order to gain market share or drive a competitor out of business.
Terminal Services doesn't have published applications like Citrix does, so if you have multiple applications running on the server you'll have to figure out a way to handle that. Load balancing and server management are also easier in Citrix. You'll also lose the "seamless window" thing. You can set up a session to automatically run an application at login, but it'll always appear as though you're remoted into a separate Windows desktop.
I don't think there are any other options out there for you.. You can either pay the extra $$$ for the features that Citrix gives you, or run it on Terminal Services.
Neither is a properly patched XP system.

Unless we're talking about GUIs that can catch fish, shouldn't it be "gaffe"?

Re-read my comment as tell me where I even mentioned Sony or the PS3. This game would suck just as hard on a 360 as it does in Flash.
Crappy frame rate (in a 2-d game!) and kind of interesting for about five minutes. Not quite Geometry Wars, sorry guys.
Why isn't this under the Humor section?

No HD, no DVI = already obsolete.
Not pointless at all...there's a HUGE difference between an Xbox Live Arcade game and a standard Xbox 360 title. The headline should be changed.
MS SQL has had row-level locking for many many years now.
you should code to the standard and making it look right is the browser's problem.
Must be nice living on a planet where you can just tell a client/boss that it's IE/FF's fault that their site doesn't look right...

If the police won't do anything, call the local press.

What would be the problem with shutting down unlicensed computers?

The AVS Forum is a great place to ask questions like this.
Here's a better article.. They're claiming 8TB before compression on an LTO-sized tape. Tape record smashed with 8 terabyte format
They moved from a "costly UNIX system". It says it right in the press release.
