This is such a bad idea to throw more money towards an over inflated bubble. All I want to know is if I (as an average investor) can somehow bet against it? That way when the bubble bursts and goes down in flames, I can make some money.
I will take a 2nd look at the pirate party. But think for a minute as to why you think I have this perception? The party has received its popularity due to interaction and support of the Pirate Bay and other P2P sites. You are pretty naive if you think the majority of users are there sharing legally. Most are non-contributing zeros that just want to download stuff for free. If the goal of the movement is to reform copyright, patent, and trademark laws then I am for it. However, I think there are a few honest people at the top of a heap of those who could care less.
What does the Pirate Party have to do with OpenSource? I am an advocate of OpenSource and CC because it is Free software. I do not agree with Piracy. That is why I use it. The fact that someone does not want to pay for something does not make it Free. That is just being a jackass.
And advertising. I seem to recall that newspapers make money on ads and not the subscriptions. That is why I can get my daily paper for $0.50. Does he think he can pay for this by subscription revenue only?
This has no bearing on me, as I have no desire to own an iPad, and even less desire to read a single word penned in Murdoch's cesspool.
So you click on the slashdot article about a service you would not want on a device you don't have? Then leave a comments letting us know you don't care about it?
Well, considering that unscrupulous lenders and real estate brokers "cheated" to make extra money, and we are all paying for it after the bubble burst, I would say this IS a realistic life lesson.
Optimistic outlook: The cheaters 'might' walk away understanding the full implications of schemes that take short cuts. The honest students might walk away with a determination to not tolerate that behavior in their future work environments.
Pessimistic outlook: The cheaters laugh about it and make sure to miss a couple when using test banks in the future. The honest students become cynical and decide to start cheating to keep pace with their classmates.
I'm more inclined to think that it was a planned launch by a local command and due to the bureaucracy and incompetence, no one else got the memo or ignored the email. Why is it that the US government is run by evil geniuses one day and incompetent government workers the next? My guess, is the later on this one.
I see this in the same light as google. What if google was asked to present their "secret algorithm" in open court so that counsel could better understand what they have been doing with private information? I know a lot of people who would love to hear that testimony.

So do you always end your posts with "you're completely pathetic"? A little humility might suit you better. you're completely pathetic.
Seems there is more info at gizchina http://www.gizchina.com/2010/12/28/ubuntu-tablet-details-surface/
What kind of fish? How large a bucket? What's the address?

So by "intimate level" you mean spending hours trying to get things to work properly. Good luck with that.
I agree. When facebook goes the way of friendster, AOL, Yahoo, Netscape, etc he is probably going to be wealthy, but not a billionaire.
you mean the salmon mousse?
No.
Is it just me or does the iphone in the picture of the article look really small? Or the person has really large hands?
Actually soybeans, rednecks, and rice. The hillbillies are farther north. This area is flat so hillbillies in flat country is called a red neck.
ZFS is not only a filesystem but also contains volume management. It's a filesystem that could replace LVM.
I want the one with the bigger GPUs and the WiFis.

I hope for the former, but expect the latter.
The scene where De Niro (young Vito) is delivering a bad of groceries. That is a great long scene without CGI.
Good observation. You win one internets!
Is it an iPhone? If it's not an iPhone why would I want it? I want the one with the bigger GBs and the WiFis.

I am pretty sure R2 units require a human X-wing pilot to get into space.

Crap! Based on that I am relegated to playing farmtown all day.
