why browser manufactures dont simply give the option of pulling a blacklist as a standard and pull from gov mandated site then the user/citizen can decide...
Let the users decide? Can't you see that the users have already made the wrong decision? Obviously the government knows better!/sarcasm:off
There are a handful of companies that are on my "fuck you forever" list, and I honestly don't care if they have reformed, or if they ever do. I was burned badly enough that there is no compelling reason to ever go near them again.
I feel that way about HP. Sure:
make me order a custom build notebook through your web site because you only have the dinky shit in brick and mortar stores.
make me pay for it by credit card because your PayPal integration is broken.
two weeks later send me a DOA notebook.
argue about repairing or replacing it for two weeks.
finally agree to replacing it then take another two weeks to send a courier out to pick it up.
after receiving it wait another week to acknowledge receiving it and actually order a replacement.
take another two weeks to send a replacement.
The whole experience was a world of pain. Every time I called their support I'd get a different person, have to explain the whole story to them again (because they apparently don't keep a call history on your account) and generally waste hours on the phone waiting while they talk to their supervisors about the next steps. And the notebook wasn't even for me - it was for my nephew attending university.
Fuck you, HP. Neither me nor any company I work for will ever buy or recommend HP hardware again.
Nowhere did I mention exercise, let alone tell people to get some. When I'm not sitting in front of computer screens at work I prefer to be not sitting in front of computer screens anywhere at all. I like to sit outside in the sun to read actual dead tree books. I also have to maintain acreage property. When time permits I also like to go bush walking with my dog, which, I suppose would count as exercise to you but it's a luxury to me.
Linux in general lacks professionalism, especially in development practices, which results in low quality of the software. I think that Microsoft getting involved in Linux will finally take things to the next level.
Yeah, right, I don't see it. Microsoft's window manager is so awesome that most of the time Windows Explorer pops a dialog it opens behind the window you're currently using. You wouldn't even know it's there unless unless you notice the pulsing button on the task bar.
I am not buying subscriptions for every content provider, it's just stupid.
Why? How is it any different than only ten years ago when you had to pay separate subscriptions to every newspaper and magazine you wanted to follow? (Or walk into a newsagent to buy them over the counter at full price.)
To just "enable AML," as EENA trivialises it, would require that iPhones contain both a GPS receiver (as they require that for every other market in the world that has E911-like services) and a GNSS receiver. GPS and GNSS are both power-sucking monstrosities so having both receivers enabled in an iPhone would "do amazing things to their system."
Apologies to TDK for repurposing their marketing phrase.
A Sextant is crap as it needs to be night (to see the stars) and you need to work hard. Working a sextant in day time is very inaccurate due to the size of the sun and it's rapid pace.
You have no clue what you're talking about. The sun moves across the sky at exactly the same pace as the other stars. Any sextant you didn't procure from a $2 junk store comes with solar filters for use with the sun during daylight hours.
Oh, it's better than that. I once complained to Slack support about its tendency to slurp up CPU and RAM on the system. They said it launches a new instance of Chromium for every channel you subscribe to, but that they were working on improving its resource usage.
Hybrid apps on iOS, such as those based on Cordova and PhoneGap, are rendered in a UIWebView control (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiwebview) which is basically a frameless Safari instance. You don't get to choose to run those things in Chrome unless you bundle your own version of Chrome with the app, which Apple would almost certainly refuse to accept in the App Store.
I think AC's referring to iDevices. Given that each year they have a new ARM processor and chipset to support it's not surprising that they drop iPads/iPhones after only 3 or 4 years of service. Plus... new sales!
Or multi-monitor support. The last Windows 10 update dropped support for nVidia GT 420 cards so I came to work one morning to find only one portrait screen working, on its side at 600x800 resolution, and the other one off because of no signal. 500MB download later and they were working again with nVidia's own driver.
It's the same in Australia with getting blister packs. I rarely require medication, but when I have been on prescriptions I have always received blister packs.
Your Australian experience is different than mine. One of my nephews had a kidney replaced at the age of two and for the rest of his life has to take between 30-40 different tablets and capsules over the course of a day as well as cop a daily injection in his leg. The majority of his tablets/capsules (Caltrates, Sodibics, Tacrolimus, etc.) come in bottles with twist tops. The only blister packed ones I can think of at the moment are Mycophenolates.

No legit vendor would do this because passing off referb parts as new in most western countries is completely illegal.
Only if they're sold as "new." It's generally legal to resell them so long as you indicate that they're refurbished products.

... you could, you know, just go outside and have a life away from screens.
If I can't see your site without JavaScript enabled then it was probably a steaming pile of shit anyway.

It sounds a lot like JWS (Java Web Start) to me.
An evolution in app sharing and discovery, Android Instant Apps allows Android users to run your apps instantly, without installation.
I've been wondering what to do with all those write protect labels I've got for my 5 1/4" disks.

Not much of a slap, really. More of a tickle. A vague itching, maybe.
We put a Logout shortcut on all our server desktops to avoid such a problem - not that we RDP to them very often. Thank goodness for PowerShell.
I guess there are limits to their "courage," then.
AML depends on GNSS, Europe's competitor to GPS.

Can Android apps really turn on wi-fi?
Yes. Any app with the CHANGE_WIFI_STATE manifest permission can do it. Android classifies this as a Normal Permission...
... which indicates that there's no great risk to the user's privacy or security in letting apps have those permissions.

But forget about higher resolution VESA modes.
