(Disclaimer: I'm a Texan, so my opinion counts -1 here, but y'all get to hear, er, read it anyway)
I would vote for your ideology in an instant. I would vote for your youthful perspective. I would vote for your lack of experience. I would vote for you simply because you don't pretend to know all of the answers. (That's 4 votes, if you're counting). And you'd get my vote for "best implementation of a candidate's slogan", too.
Especially in this circumstance, it seems that the power vacuum that will be created needs all of these traits to allow the evolutionary changes that will FIX the state. (We all think California is screwed up, but you seem OK.)
Pot, yes; immigration, OK; right wing politics, Reefer Madness Stick to your ideals.
When you run for President, I'll be there, but you have to wait until 35!
Restraint in the law enforcement community, an oxymoron if ever there was one.
The other day, I was pulled over for speeding (65 in a 55) about 120 miles from home - after running my plate & DL, the state trooper knew my dog's name of all things.
You miss the entire point of using a free (not beer) OS - flexibility, versatility - the freedom to do what you like with lots of other, like-minded people helping. No business would use a free (beer) system if the only reason was to save a few hundred or thousand dollars.
The issue is that SCO refuses to show us what was "stolen" from them so it can be fixed/replaced/licensed. And what about going after the end user...maybe, but they might be compelled to show that each user actually benefitted from, or even used, the infringing code, after all, most business users custom build their kernel, and may have disabled or omitted the offending code.
Yeah, we'll see how long that can last after you high-tail it to whatever is next. I use all three OS's...Mac is by far the best for the end user, but then again, most of them don't ever notice a problem with Windows. Linux will not compete on the desktop until it works right every time, on all applicable hardware, with out *.tgz updates and the like. Even RHN is too flaky for end users - they may not (all) be stupid, but their computer is for getting things done, not for tinkering (as it for many of us.)
At the risk of being too serious for this crowd - three things cause hand pain commonly (mis-)diagnosed as carpal tunnel
1) neck problems - very specific diagnosis, but think of it as a pinched nerve
2) shoulder problems - "thoracic outlet syndrome" now more often called "neurovascular compression syndrome" primarily due to holding arm up and/or out, as in mousing - specifically spasm of the subscapularis muscle - push your fingers up under your shoulder blade at your armpit - it will elicit the same pain
3) forearm muscle problems - primarily due to prolonged forearm twisting (screwdriving, etc.) and sometimes sports.
These things seem to be carpal tunnel to diagnosticians (read most MD's). They need professional treatment and/or work position changes or they will get worse.
If you have true carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), the gloves in question will ease the pain at the expense of healing, since the typical nighttime hand pain in CTS is due to blood flow and the healing process.
For CTS, weights or rubber bands used to strengthen the extensor muscles (back of the hands and arms) will fix many cases of true CTS. Don't let CTS go untreated as it can become permanent if it remains uncorrected.
#1 priority in all cases should be workplace changes to prevent damage.
