Dang, that's gonna be awesome. I've used every version of OS X since the public beta, and it has gotten much much faster. the PB was dirt slow, 10.0 marginaly faster, 10.1 was a Godsend in terms of speed, and 10.2 is even faster then 10.1, can't wait for 10.3 (on my 333Mhz iMac!!)
As does UT Dallas, http://www.studentgov.org quite cool, but seems kinda lacking for some reason that I can't quite place. I used half.com to sell my books and to buy one of them. I recieved fair prices for them. and was quite convient
Actually in my History class last semester a few of the textbooks were written by a professor @ a university just a few miles down the road.....coincidence.....could be.....but I'm not convinced
It's amazing how different some artists sound when you compare their live vs. album performances. In the past I've generally liked live performances more, but after reading this....I kinda feel that I could have been cheated in some way. Granted half the reason I like going to a concert is just seeing the band and getting a more personal view, (well....if you can call thousands of people crammed into a building personal). Granted I'm still in college so that may have some bering on my

just a thought but even if "tusted computing" became the norm, wouldn't it be possible to make a gateway/router/bridge/adapter (not sure of the correct term) that would emulate that "trusted" status to the rest of the network? but I'd imagine that the maker of said device would get the DMCA thrown at him huh?

Personally the whole Mitnick thing comes to mind, maybe I'm off base but I think we are good to go in that department.

I would imagine that there would be some sort of legal action against those responsible for the virus/company. Even if they could stand the PR of being responsible for a virus and spam, I doubt that they would be able to win a legal fight over it, unless the virus had to agree to a EULA before it runs....which would sortof defeat the point wouldn't it?
I just finished my first year at college, and I went with a PowerMac G3@400Mhz, an iMac@333MHz, and a VisorPro. I did almost everything on my PowerMac, and just used the iMac as a glorified jukebox. The Palm helped me stay organized, but I found that I couldn't justify keeping it, and sold it before it devalued too much. I had a 802.11b card for it, that the IT department on campus said *would* work, but it would not associate with the on campus network.
Actually I'd much rather have the 12" Powerbook, for one I like the smaller screen rather then having a 15" or 17" screen. Mainly just because I like my laptop to be small, and light. I'd also much rather have a Powerbook rather then the iBook because of the G4 chip. Just a personal opinion though.

Same here, Word 5.1a on the Mac is awesome, I used it untill I bought Office X a few months ago. (from the university for $6).
My thoughts exactly...
true but then some bright exectuives throw the DMCA at the people working on a fix for the bios.
