I have to admit I have always been very critical of sun's software, but this 'java desktop system' seems like one of the lamest distro's ever. There really isn't an innovative thing in it (which is the only reason to make a new distro IMHO) besides including the java plugin for mozilla. The theme, which makes everything look like it was written with the java gui api is awful. I think they would have been better off if they just shipped XD2 on there hardware.
This is an interesting turn of events. When discussing the gnome-storage project with people, they mentioned that M$ would be incorporating WinFS as an actual file system. And they wondered how the gnome-storage dev's were going to create a database upon a filesystem. But as it turns out M$ isn't making a new file system and for all we know they are lagging behind the great work done by Seth Nickell and crew.

No wonder my tuition is up 7% from last year. We are paying these fools to realize that people should take responsibility for there own actions!
