I would easliy give my 12 bucks to keep a show on that I like. I would do this with numerous shows I watch. I hope it works out for them and when it gets going maybe I will toss in my 12 bucks.
Maybe I am not thinking clearly today but what is this patent? Is this a patent to view file traffic across a network then alter the files by adding crap to it. Like cookie targeting for network traffic. So I can get a fun pop-up ad for financial services when I grab a file containing stock information?
Not that I am a Windows fan but if Mac or Linux was the most popular OS wouldn't most viruses and worms target these systems? Window's might have it's security problems but I see new updates and security patches on my RedHat boxes all the time. Couldn't these explots be used for viruses if virus creators targeted Linux or Mac?
I own the SL-5500 (and love it) and received an email from Sharp stating that people who participate in the Sharp open source app development can receive a nice discount on both the SL-5500 and SL-5600.
If I remember it was a pretty good deal too.
Geez, was I the only geek who couldn't wait to find out what happened to her computer? I kept wondering what the problem was and the damn story never paid up.
Why should I care? Everybody else is slamming my computer for information seeking cookies. At least Google is reputable and since I rarely use IE and when I do I don't use the toolbar's advanced features. You can easily turn off cookies or verify each one. Why should I mind?
I thought it was a good movie but I thought that Berman did not do that great of job with this one. The main story's focus was a little weak. If they had dealt with just Romulans it would have rocked. There is no reason to bring in new characters for every movie. The movie would have done better if they just dealt with familiar characters. Star Trek has lost a lot of viewers because of the rehashing and poor storylines of later Voyager and Enterprise episodes.

yeah no joke. Those aren't good stats. I have been working with computers for 12 years and have gone through numerous drives (more than I can count), and I think my stats are a good deal lower than that. The only ones that ever crash are the work-horse ones. But we expect them to crash every so often. I have rarely ever seen a standard computer users drive fail (unless it was because of old equipment). It seems to me we can expect around 3 or so years for hardware after that your chances of failure are high.
Vibration definitely is the killer here. Most people just screw in their drives with 2 screws. Everyone who can install a hard drive should have enough brains to figure out that it needs to be as secure as possible.
I always figured that most spyware only gets on peoples machines because the user is using IE. Does Spyware go thru IE because it is the most widely used browser or because of security flaws in IE? I figured that it was because spyware is configured for IE. I always use Mozilla, but if Mozilla/Netscape ever goes back to being the most widely used browser or even with IE will spyware start targeting Mozilla's engine?
Nut allergies are one of the most common allergies. I have been deathly allergic to nuts all my life and have had 3 hospitalization incidents. From what I have learned children are increasingly becoming deathly allergic to them. Most food products now have to put a warning if the product is made with nuts or the machine that produces it also handles nuts. I feel bad for those kids, I am in my 30's and it sucks having to make sure everything you eat isn't made with or fried with nuts or nut oil.
But this thread is somewhat humorous.
I remember when I was 10 or 12 we use to shoot tomatoes out of mufflers. It was great to watch them shoot out and splatter on another car. Today, if someone did that to my car I would kill them.
I can't wait. It was a shame the TV show was canceled.

I too have been moved into a management position. There are a few a of us in my company. While the $ is nice it is a switch.
I hear they will be using it to test the new release of After Dark. It will be running it 24 hours a day.

My span is always free.
There already is some different versions out there. The OpenZaurus ROM is Awesome and I believe there is a Debian ROM too.

Sounds great, but I wonder how slow the charge time is and how compatible it is.

I never played the game and never intend to.

I don't see the comparison? Why is Tim Berners-Lee like JRR Tolkien? Maybe Marc Okrand but not JRRT.

The best game in Linux is Unreal Tournament 2003.
