    Well then if the plan was to hand out lucrative contracts to U.S. companies to (re)build the Iraqi oil infrastructure, why did the war plan call for a lightning fast ground attack that secured the oil infrastructure for the people of Iraq? It would have made more sense (from the Oil Conspiracy) point of view to do a prolonged air campaign and slow, deliberate ground war, which would have given the Iraqi government ample time to slash and burn as much as possible (and therefore give that much more to Bush' Oil Buddies).

    Look at Afghanistan where an oppressive government of religious fanatics was voted in, by a majority who knew full well what they were voting for.

    Huh? The Taliban weren't voted in, they took the country by force. It was being torn apart by various mujahadeen groups and warlords and the Taliban movement was able to capture large portions of the country (but never the entire country). That is why their "government" wasn't recognized by any of the other nations of the world (except Pakistan).

    Where did you get this notion of them having an election?

    The server can bounce mail from < > when sending to another domain (relaying). It should accept that as valid for any destination that is part of ITS domain. So, try again with a bellsouth.net destination address.

    That explains what Karl Rove (you know, Bush's brain) was thinking when he said [uiuc.edu], "As people do better, they start voting like Republicans--unless they have too much education and vote Democratic."

    Read the entire quote and section in context. He doesn't mean if people are educated they vote Democratic, he means if people have a lot of educational programs they vote Democratic; In other words, if maintaining their levels of educational services is more important than cutting taxes.

    I use Red Hat. I prefer it over other distributions I have tried.
    Debian - Too slow a cycle for my needs
    SuSE - Too cluttered and didn't care for the config tools and non-standard files all over the place (has this changed with their United Linux approach?)
    Mandrake - Nice, but never quite worked right. It was always a little flaky around the edges.
    Gentoo - Nice, but too complex when something wouldn't work. And too long to compile everything, I just didn't have the time for all that. (I never got KDE or X working, but I did have a heck of a fast CLI only system after a couple of tries).
    Lindows - I won't touch with a 10 foot pole.

    So, who can recommend a really good, quality distro for me to try?

    I mean, the Government says "give me your decryption key or we will put you in jail until you do". Here the choice will be giving up your key vs. giving up your life. Unless someone is VERY dedicated and brave, they are going to give up the key when they have a gun to their head (or worse).

    For tech, we see a lot of farming out to India, especially since they're are lot of competent English speakers there.

    Let's hope it's just speakers and not writers!!! ;-)
