Kerry doesn't answer the questions at all (I am open to...)
While Bush gives answers I don't like (We need to implement nation-wide morality laws that forbid anything that could effect anybodies children, even if you don't have any!)
Errg!! I think I am going to vote for Cthulu this year. I am tired of trying to figure out the lesser of two evils!
OK, Bush has proven that he should never have had the job. Tax cuts to the richest 1% of the country while creating the biggest deficit in USA history is just one of the many counterdictions that make him a Republican Party Muppet.
BUT...
This article(?) is quite skewed. W did have Congressional approval when we hit Iraq.
Let's all remember why Liberals consider themselves free-thinkers. It is because THEY THINK FOR THEMSELVES! This only makes Dems/Libs look just a much like followers as the Reps/Cons. Please don't put any more side-hosed aticles up for discussion, when the article itself has flawed logic. This only hurts the Kerry Campaign.
PS - I am a card-carrying Lib, and I hate "Farenheit 9/11" for the same reason.
When Atomic energy was discovered the world was dazzled by the thought of cheap(?) and clean(?) energy. After all of these years, we are actually in the process of making it possible. I think this is an excellent idea! That is, unless someone (read: politician) screws it up!
I wonder if they can do the same for IQ or concentration? This would be handy for the chess competitors... And for me... I could complete my world domination scheme... hmmmm...
This movement is not new. It is in fact, the original way that science came to be. It only stopped when secrecy became involved.
When science was used to devolope weapons, it stopped being pure and became a new form of global currancy.
Corporations picked up on this later and started restircting information sharing by use of patents and such.
These have been the norm for so long, that a lot of the scientific growth we have made in the last centruy belongs to one entity or another. NOW we are saying that it needs to be shared... interesting.
We are all veterans of the latest battlefield, intellectual property. How many of us have had great ideas that we can't share with anyone else because we'll loose our jobs, or even worse, get sued for all we are worth because we violated our hiring contracts?
Is it too late to return to the way that worked? This is something to think about.
But what kind of precedent is this setting? Could this be abused too?
Let's analyze what is happening here. One person has the right to sue another because they sent a mass email. How else can that be twisted?
What about internal email? Can a person be sued because they informed everyone in the company about a bake sale for their church? After all, they ARE promoting their religion with an unsolicited email. What if somebody used a quote from Carl Marx as their sig line? Is that offensive enough to be sued over?
I am sure that everyone here can think of other examples. The point is, one particular freedom has been abused by the few, therefore, it is being taken away from the many. What else can this lead to?
Perhaps losing our technical edge isn't such a bad thing...
Has anyone else noticed how we use our technological edge? Particualarly on a global scale? Things such as Echelon has not made things better.
Don't get me wrong. I am a patriot, but I believe in the Constitution, not the current... um... well, maybe I shouldn't say that, this isn't being posted as an AC.
Maybe we should imagine what would happen if the USA didn't have the edge over the rest of the world. Who knows, without a bully on the playground things might get better.
I think we should- Just a sec, someone's at the door. Hey! What are you doing! That's my cable modem connec-
This story is nowhere to be found on the USA mainstream news web sites (cnn, abc, m$nbc, etc.).
Has anybody else noticed this?
Normally I would attribute the original story to the tinfoil-hat crowd, but this is on BBC (a news outlet that I respect).
Does this bother anyone else as much as it bothers me???
This is SO frustrating!
It is just more of the same!

There is no wrong way.
If it isn't a vice, then you are standard.
If it IS a vice, then you are doing it GREAT!
Hey everyone,

Now everything I say on a long distance call will be transcribed 1000 times better and/or faster?
That's it! I'm making a tin-foil hat for my phone!
(did I just forget to post AC?? oh damn!)
WOW!
Get nothing done and get paid for it!
Get something done and still get paid for it!
Undo something that has already been done and GET PAID FOR IT!!
That's it, I'm running for Mayor(tm) this next term!

Just never put it on a computer!

OK, we all hate spam. It is prolific, and abused.
