    They worded it extremely carefully.
    I quote:

    That reads to me that they may tolerate sites using the maps for a private audience (siteseeing etc), and might consider it a personal use, especially if it merely takes the steering wheel of the existing application.

    Extracting the data and producing a derivative (tiled single image) would appear to go beyond tweaking the existing controls however.

    It doesn't matter how much it costs, its apparant value.

    I third this notion, with one small exception:

    Linux is still for fags, and white people, black people, chinese, martian, dwarfs, mentally challenged people, hermaphrodites, texans, rich business men, poor business men and even women.
    Apologies to anybody who I missed out, but you are all welcome.

    We hope whoever you are and whatever religion you are using, you should feel at home with linux :)

    The chip having a code identifiable unique ID does not worry me.

    Using an operating system which willfully utilises that ID and broadcasts it across the net to any interested party is what would concern me more.

    Afterall, this is just a CPU we are talking about, its not got any broadcast capabilities of its own (thought the rest of the chipset might, but thats a different issue).

    Thats fine, you don't need a new graphics card just to browse.
    This simply allows people ingame to use all the proper features (and I would assume your user profile settings) of a real browser.
    If your not using the game, then this news isn't of use to you.

    If you lower your screen resolution, the large blank page will become somewhat smaller, and the text thats missing will become much larger.

    That wasy, the nothingness will be easier to not read.

    I noticed this as well, and put a note about it into the slash bug thingy. I was told slash was under crapflood attack.
    A couple of days later, the Captcha image things were put in, and it all stopped for a while.
    Now because of issues with the Captcha (other slash bug notices), they have apparantly been removed again, and the problem has come back...

    Its disconcerting to see comments and replies posted about stories you read earlier in the day.
    So much so, it felt more like a DB corruption than an attack, but since we must believe our slash gods, and since they appeared to stop with the Captchas, I would assume they know more than us :)

    Whilst this mod is indeed impressive looking, tt would have been better if it wasn't the actual desk.
    It somewhat ruins the effect having a bit slab of glass in the way.

    Hang on, this means with software like kazaa, they can see I am offering all these files from all my shared folders, but have no way of knowing if other people are actively uploading from me.

    With bitTorrent, they can sections of a single file only.

    How exactly can they prove you sent a file to ANYBODY other than themselves?

    They don't exactly hide, its not a government spy business, and why in the world would a terrorist or someone else want to take out a mingy data centre when theres plenty more visible glittery targets worldwide?
