    If you have a suspended mouse, just check the ball hasn't got fluff on it.
    For wireless mice, check the battery level and ensure its paired correctly with its base station.

    Of course it is true.
    Look at the amount of people who game on the Wii.

    I am sure they look good to you, however there are a LOT of people still playing on SD televisions.
    Remember, most kids with consoles get their parents old tv rather than a brand new HD set.

    Consoles have always been cheaper than PCs, that has never been in dispute, but over $1000 for a bit of bragging rights.
    I read up in the reviews now them talking about 2560*1600 display sizes and full options and shit:

    I am still happy running around at 800*600 with medium graphics (and I used to keep up with the curve until I wasted money on nvidia 5900).

    Using genetic algoithms won't help unless you understand the underlying issues with multi-core.
    Computer software is notorious for not understanding what the operator wants ("It looks like you are writing a sorting algorithm.."), what makes you think this will be any different?

    (I am not knocking GA coding methods but just using it as a blanket extension to job security is misguided at best)

    You really should take a look at the nokia n810 (or even n800).
    They have a similar form factor, run Maemo Linux and are great to use.

    I had a hands on with an eee for the first time today.
    You are right, the keyboard is horribly compressed.

    Meanwhile I have an apple wireless keyboard for my nokia and its amazing.
    I don't know how Apple managed to make the keys so big and easily hitable.

    I inputted a mandelbrot generator for spectrum (before i could code my own..)
    I left it running for 24hours to produce a stunning black and white basic initial bug.

    I was awestruck but the lag was a killer.

    Once compressed and held inside a silicon (or other) wafer isn't it feasible that it will retain its shape and pressure and properties?

    This sidestepping means you can take it out of the lab without having it tethered to a fridge or anvil.

    100% agree.
    My sig explains the human factor quite well, what makes NASA engineers stand out above the rest is just how often they manage to carry on regardless.
    In situations where normal people would give up they find a solution.

    How do you know what is illicit and what is allowed?

    Is the content of the website you are downloaded owned by (for instance) perfect 10?
    Have I given permission to YOU to download a css stylesheet I designed for use on my website?

    Is the Code in the software update you are getting copyrighted to the person you are getting it from?

    Did the original rights owner give you permission to distribute that mp3 file to your IM friend?

    the list is endless.
    Without knowledge of what is illicit and what is allowed you might as well block the whole lot.

    an actra few seconds onto a load won't bother anyone and then that game can have super quick graphics?

    I was under the impression that iphone had wifi connection available.
    Additionally, not all flash is bandwidth intensive.
    You have a local cache and things like games can work very well.

    If you consider the cusp of the gravity well of the earth to be a simplistic representation of the event horizon then:

    an object travelling inside the well is doomed to never escape without additional energy.
    it will spiral to its death after some time period.

    If two objects at this same point collide and explode, then some of the matter will have gained additional energy and will escape the gravity well, the rest of the body will spiral to its doom.

    Why is this a troll, its exactly what the problem is.
    My n810 runs flash - badly - its advertised as working which it does but it drops frames with current implimentation.

    iPhone/Apple users expect more and currently it can't be handled.
