Maybe this is off topic, but who here remembers the Sega Channel? I ditched more classes in high school then you could imagine, just so I could go to my buddy's place and game all day. Essentially, you downloaded ROMS off your cable TV feed. Sega was _really_ ahead of its time on this idea, to bad it didn't stick.
Indeed nicotine is one of the most addictive substances in the entire world, perhaps second only to herion. I started smoking in 7th grade. I continued smoking until I was 22, then quit. Cold turkey, It lasted 11 months. Then I meet this girl, start dating. She is a social smoker, only smokes at the clubs and such, she helps me become additiced again. I smoked until I was 24 (minus the 11 month interlude). Now I am 26 and a non smoker for 2 years. If you are wondering how I did it? Well the answer is will power and my wanting to breathe. See I have asthma, I wasnt born with it, I got it from smoking. Try not being able to breathe. This is all the motivation you will ever need. Dont give up on quiting. It gets easier every time. My grandmother smoked for over 50 years and kicked the habbit, so can you. Good luck man!
This is nothing compared to my speed variable spoiler. When the load increases on my machine, the spoiler goes up, creating more downforce on the back end of my machine. It helps keep my Athlon from flying off the desk.
I think he is just a bit confused, thinking a pvr is some type of kitchen applicance. If I tried to cook an egg on my PVR (home brew I might add) I would be sorely disappointed with its performance.
So who is going to bring the system back online after it crashes **cough **cough ecache....... I am not saying Sun manufactures inferior hardware, wait, yes I am.
I am using a wintv go (bt848) as well. I am using the cvs version of vcr and it provides for excellent viewing on my pc. No noise, a/v synch keeps a very nice pace. The only problem I have with the solution is the files are of poor quality when I attempt to watch them on a televsion via my dxr3 (http://dxr3.sf.net)
Video toaster indeed kicked some serious arse. we used a video toaster in my high school tv studio also. come to think of it, didnt they do most of the effects in babylon 5 with a video toaster?
Maybe I should build one, then I could place it next to the keg-orator.
I have been on it since it started. I could only hope that the No Email List passes. That would be so sweeet....
