Because it is pandering to a false belief (that wifi harms people), and its one that *has* been thoroughly researched, unlike what was stated in the article and summary.
It is a dangerous thing to fold and let this pass, because irrational opponents to radio waves will point to this case to further their fear-based opposition. You cant just let them win because its "too hard" fighting irrational beliefs, you have to educate people about the facts so they are not afraid of things they don't understand properly. You have to show everyone that these people are wrong, why they are wrong, and why it is a bad thing to allow such wrongness to win.
Sure, the children are learning the same things, letters and numbers. But what pencils and paper do not teach is the use and familiarly of modern technology.
We want children to grow up around the things that they will be using extensively for the rest of their lives. Insulating them from technology will not help them, it will cause more harm than good.
Why do we need to know anything to an absolute 100% certainty? The difference between 99.99999999999% and 100% certainty is not relevant when it comes to believing that something exists.
So you are upset that other people like a phone platform that you dont? Your points are so biased and laughable, I dont know where to start.
I totally love it how you use the word steal in the first paragraph, not only did it make me laugh, but it taints your entire poor argument.
Apple made an OK phone platform, so therefore they are morally right in pulling the BS they are doing now? If IOS was so "wonderful", so "magical", so "cool", to phrase Apple, why are people now buying them in droves? Why are they not at the top of the smartphone market?
Its because ( shock horror), Apple have not made a perfect one size fits all affordable product.
I dont think phrase that means what you think it means, as Pluto has no longer been a planet (according to our definition of 'planet') since a few years ago.
And the moral of the story is? Dont travel to the US.
The #1 reason why the US was quickly ruled out as my holiday destination this year is because of the horror stories like this. Im not a criminal hell bent on the cold blooded murder of thousands of people, im a tourist. I want to take photos of my trip, not take photos with the intent of bombing the place. I dont want to be fondled, radiated or seen naked on every plane trip, have guns pointed at me, screamed at followed or harassed.
bah, fuck that, im going somewhere else. A real shame too, as genuinely I wanted to go there and see the sights.
"For many tasks 64 bit is over rated." And as time goes on, that 'many' turns into 'some' and eventually into 'once in a blue moon'. Thats the nature of progress.
The thing is, many of us actually do need 'HUGE' memory space and/or 64 bit ints. this is 2012, and i just need more than 4GB of RAM in my computer.
- My flight combat simulator gobbles RAM like a crack whore gobbles crack. (DCS A-10) 4GB is simply not enough for this one application.
- Photoshop CS5 / Lightroom just runs better 64 bit natively and most especially when working with multiple 18MP RAW format photos.
The performance difference between 32 and 64 bit is very minor, and the extra storage/memory is again a minor thing. If your OS is 64 bit, there is no reason not to run a 64 bit version of an app instead of a 32 bit one if you have the choice between the two.
Did you believe Bill Gates when he said that 640k of RAM is plenty enough for anybody?
Though to be honest, the only gap is the long silence you hear as you suddenly realise that the person making the claim is genuinely delusional, and possibly mentally unstable.
There is no such thing as tiny terrorism. What you mentioned can cause people to feel fear, not terror.
Terrorism is the use of extreme methods invoking instant mass panic in large numbers of people, usually involving mass violence. e.g. A truck bomb in a crowded market square.
Unfortunately, the sort of people who show their hate in extreme ways are never the sort of people who will respond properly to a rational argument from the other side.
Am I going completely mad?
Unfortunately, you are not going mad.
Damn straight. Catholics don't have the right to say anything about anything!!!! Light your pitchforks brethren!!!!!
Excellent knee-jerk reactionary response! 7/10.
The OP was just showing how hypocritical Catholics are about the requirement for supporting evidence for the belief that WiFi harms people.
The hypocrisy should be pretty apparent to non-religious people.
Why not?
Because it is pandering to a false belief (that wifi harms people), and its one that *has* been thoroughly researched, unlike what was stated in the article and summary.

"we dont know if its happening"
Are you wilfully ignorant, or just a few decades behind the ball here?
hmm, you have not thought this through I see...

Waste of time and money? Absolutely not.
Why do we need to know anything to an absolute 100% certainty?

Mod parent up!
Always will be...

Microscopic lions are not Lions as we define "Lion", so they dont count.
Elephants, as we define them, are not invisible, so your invisible ones dont count either.
It is entirely possible for another person to prove that the commenter is actually not dead.
Your argument fails on all levels.

Its also known as the God of the Gaps argument.
Though to be honest, the only gap is the long silence you hear as you suddenly realise that the person making the claim is genuinely delusional, and possibly mentally unstable.
Can I have two fucking cookies?
1, it would be educational to study the reproductive cycle of cookies, and,
2, I want an endless supply of little cookies.
Although, Keanu is a far more successful actor than him.
Better/successful, which matters the most at the end of the day?
oh, do you mean the railroad type?
U mad?
He is not talking about how easy it is to program on an ARM toolset vs Atmel, hes talking about the complexity of the processor itself.
The Atmel AVR is an 8-bit microcontroller, the ARM Cortex-M is a 16/32 bit device, with far more transistors than an ATMEGA.
For the sort of thing that Adafruit are needing to do, an ATMEGA is more than adequate.
For those that need to know, that plasma cloud is travelling at almost 5.7 billion furlongs/fortnight.

"If they weren't ruling, they wouldn't be rich in the first place."
No, that is not correct.
"If they weren't rich, they wouldn't be ruling in the first place."
Fixed that for you.
Hummer? Kia?
He said a "good" car.
aren't all worlds, not our own, alien?
Yes, that's why we call them alien worlds....
As a non-American, I am seriously struggling to understand how paying lawmakers to vote in favor of a bill is not bribery.
Can somebody please explain?
In my country, this happened once with an MP. He was investigated, charged and convicted of corruption and went to prison.
Why is this allowed in the US?
