    Is it really that hard to read it and see that the grammar needs fixing? Is it that hard to insert the missing word "that" in the second sentence?

    This reflects poorly on the quality of the people who work for Slashdot. This is 2011, basic spelling and grammar checks are just a few mouse clicks away.

    I wouldnt buy an iPad because I dont think its worth the cost for what it can ( and cannot ) do. The fact its an Apple device, with all its attendant vendor control and lockin, is not the sole reason I wouldnt buy one. I simply do not have a need that is not already covered with my current devices.

    If I wanted a Tablet, the iPad would not be the only one on my list.

    He made a mistake, which can be easily corrected with some re-education.

    Tibet was always part of China, so technically, they did not invade another country. The military only turned up because they heard that the scenery was particularly pretty, most especially at sunrise.

    Oh I dont think that they can do that.

    How exactly are you going to stop people accessing a JTAG port on the FPGA? JTAG has been around for donkeys years, and there are many open source JTAG interfaces availiable for a low cost, or that you can build yourself.

    If you ban or restrict the sale of commercial programmers, you cant stop somebody building their own from current open source designs.
