Does he like them for the books? He knows you can read books on the Internet, right?
Maybe he just doesn't know how to use the internet properly (he is old, after all) and it just confuses and scares him.
The article says transporting hydrogen is "a big challenge".
Well then don't transport it. All you need to generate it is water and electricity, which are both pretty easy to transport.
What they need to work on is a cheaper way to generate electricity.
Most schools and universities are not affected so much by the economy, and most schools and universities don't need a business case to make this switch.
I'm a little confused how they're going to enforce this law against companies that have no physical presence in the state? I did not see that addressed in the article.
You still have to compress the air somehow, either with an electric- or combustion-powered compressor. I'm curious to see how much these cost to operate per mile versus a battery-powered electric car.
The ones in the US are pretty good too. They're not ambiguous (unless there are errors in content) and they're easy to read. I know they've changed the fonts on the green freeway exit signs down here in Houston, but I don't know of any changes other than that.
If they hadn't upgraded past Series 1, then TiVo wouldn't be around anymore.
As unlikely as I am to use this service, I like to see TiVo in the news and making positive steps in the business realm. I like my TiVo and don't want to see them fail because of imitators.
I have a similar number of machines and am an OU admin. I've had issues with GP software deployment so I just use MS Scriptit.
You stil have to go around to each machine, but you don't have to sit there and click through everything.
At work, I usually just have Eudora, Winamp, and Firefox open. I close them all when I leave (my mobo has bad capacitors and likes to turn itself off at night sometimes).
Glaciers are not permanent structures. So what?
I am. A lot of people are scared by things they don't understand. Why should he be any different?

Because batteries are heavy. You can go much further on a tank of hydrogen than you can on a full battery charge.

It was there earlier. Somebody must have deleted it :\
I'm too old to assume anything anymore.
On the first page of a google search for "soy-based laser toner" is a link to a Chicago Tribune article dated April 22. Check that out.

Wasn't this idea thrown around when the MIDI interface was created, 20+ years ago?

Yeah well it was fun while it lasted. Now it's gonna get all touristy.

That's a good point. Or what about breakdancing? Could the cameras tell the difference between breakdancing and fighting?
They'd be completely useless against ninjas, and ninjas are everywhere.
Yup. I've been using white on dark grey for quite a while and don't think I can find anything better.
What on earth could your dad possibly be printing?

How'd they leave that out. It's pretty important...
A better question: If the lending library didn't exist and someone came up with the idea for it today, do you think they would be allowed?
Maybe?
Surely you can turn off the DST setting on the clock? Or do they just not sell that particular model in Indiana and Arizona?
