One with the home address of the owner...
I'm assuming it's the guy across the road with 1000's of aerials all over his roof. I suspect it's why mobile (phone) reception is so bad in our street!
I've actually been really impressed by the storylines in Battlestar Galactica so far - didn't expect it to be much after remembering the original so fondly, but it is definitely worth watching IMHO. You can tell there are a few storylines that could well work out after a couple of series - rather like B5
When I did my uni finals a few years ago, we had at least a couple of exams where calculators were banned as examiners wanted to see evidence of working and rough approximations were more than adequate for that.
Me too. I'd rather pay a few pounds and download a decent copy of a film that I wasn't really fussed about going to see in the cinema, and would never buy on DVD. If I had the option to get a download for a small fee, I probably would.
I have not bought many CD's for a long time either, purely because I think they are ridilculously overpriced. I will happily buy CD's that are in the sale, because I think that is a much more reasonable price to pay.
The thing that really took the biscuit was the UK report a few years back that said CD's were not expensive enough!
I would go one further and (truly not wishing to troll), in my opinion, you cannot put the beatles in the same category as the great Led Zeppelin.
IMHO!
1) The litigious young american will call his lawyer and look into suing this company for fraud and slander/libel. Reap massive multi-million dollar judgment 5 years later.
2) The sane human being will get a new email address and tell all of his friends, family and other contacts that he's changed addresses.
The problem with (1) is that you may lose important stuff in the meantime. I know people can always send again when they know your address, but it is a pain in the arse to tell everyone that it has changed. If it were simply a case of mailing all your contacts to let them know, that wouldn't be so bad but it's when you have to change your address on all kinds of things like contact details for banks, for clubs, for prospective employers. That is when it really sucks
I guess it's understandable though that they don't want to be referred to as boffins. That surely just makes the general public think of stereo typical mad scientists!!
[this part is my opinion, disregard if you disagree] Music turned ugly. It went from meaningful art created one off, by the artists themselves, straight to celebrity fame, gaudy fortune, ass and tit shaking, commercial trash. Are there exceptions to this rule? For the love of God, YES! But, come on... Britney Spears?
I have to agree with this. The overwhelming majority of music in the UK charts nowadays is processed, managed crap performed by people who seem to have no idea other than that they want to be famous. Which is a shame, because there must be so many talented people out there, struggling to find deals but no one will consider them because they seem hell bent on subjecting us to countless bands formed from TV shows!
As far as I personally am concerned, I am put off buying many CD's because I refuse to pay £15 UK for something that I maybe only like a few of the songs off. Having said that, if CD's were to retail more cheaply, I would buy far more of them, because I wouldn't consider it such a waste of money.
I love music, and especially new music, but I just don't have the cash or the willingness to spend large amounts when I'm not convinced I will get enough enjoyment out of the product.

I think it's like an English Iceberg

Didn't C4 also show the first series or 2 of Angel completely out of sequence when they showed it at 6PM, thoroughly confusing everyone?

Go figure...

is a cool (possible) application of Magnetic Theory!

Maybe they could build a wall around it to keep it safe on the edge of a forest? ;)

Thank you... that made me laugh for the last 5 mins!!
Hasn't James Cameron decided to devote his life to Titanic-related stuff now??
