However, once again you are missing the point. Caravan is a real word. So is Sensor. Whats a Cybershot? A Pentium? What the hell is a T720. See, none of these would be even words let alone generic words without the company name prepended.
His whole gripe was on Spatial Nautilus and themability? What a dumbass. Try covering something like, ease of use, stability, consistancy. I know Gnome isnt perfect but it gets better and faster with each release and if all you have to bitch about is "I can't change my titlebars color." then just keep your mouth shut. No one cares. Next he will complain about how its impossible to change the gnome menu icon easily. I think businesses want their employees to worry about more important things. This guy is a troll and nothing else. I don't hear him complaining about the utter lack of themability in the default WinXP desktop. What does it have, 3 themes? The rest you have to pay for. What a boner.
I think people tend to be unfair to open source software in terms of usability. Whether we like it or not, we are trying to snag windows users so we tend to cater towards that goal. Well, that makes us focus on usability of windows, and other Microsoft products. Yes, MS products are fairly user friendly and easy to use. Well, LINUX software may not be up to that standard yet in terms of friendly interfaces but there are PLENTY of windows programs NOT from microsoft that have HORID interfaces. Ever use Lotus Notes? How about cd burning in windows? What I'm getting at is this, While the LINUX desktop (KDE/Gnome) doesn't have the system level GUI's to match what Windows offers, when talking about JUST applications, I believe Gnome / KDE are MUCH easier to use than MOST windows programs (excluding MS products). Epiphany and Firefox are WAY nicer to browse with than IE. Gnumeric is a wonderful spreadsheet program. Evolution is Great (albeit a bit slow). Totem will play just about any media format (without taking over parts of your system which a media player has no business poking around in)
On the contrary, I don't infringe on copyright. I however WOULD download music if they charged a fair price for it. What if my computer crashes and my hard drive dies? Are they going to replace the music I lost? No... I will just be shit out of luck. No way I am paying for THAT!!! I will just buy used CD's until the downloadable music business gets its act together.
The point is, they are only knocking about 40% off the price of the song when compared to buying it on a CD. Lets look at the facts. Digital downloads cost them NOTHING to produce. The consumer is getting NOTHING tangible. This is pure profit for them. They would make mad cash selling them for lets say $.45. I know I would buy them. But since they like to price gouge, screw them.
" The subject of debate (the only one that it could be) is how to market to business professionals."
Aren't business professionals just normal people like you and I? They go to McDonalds. They use Exxon gas. They probably use AOL at home. All I can say is that if someone decides against a product because of a logo, they shouldn't be in the position to make that decision. That is just asinine.
Wait a minute. You say that people won't take a cartoonish looking character seriously? How many people LOVE that damn clippy? Most users desktops I see have it running. And users get pissed when you disable it.
He is mistaken. It has nothing to do with X-Rays. Just the Intense light from a nuclear explosion would be enough to let you see the bones in your hand. I mean, shadows could be burned onto blacktop with the intense light. It is an order of magnatude brighter than the sun

"the world is really starting to make me sick."
The world, or Microsoft.
I for one get slightly nausious when I see what MS does and what they get away with. The part that REALLY gets me is that most people who are not computer geeks think MS is GOOD!!!
Excuse me. How many people do you know that actually conciously PAID for Windows. Most people I know got it with their computer for "free". People generally use whatever came with their hardware. Or they bootleg it.
"The RIAA can't stand up to intense public scrutiny, without shooting themselves (and their industry) in the foot."
I disagree. People are like dumb sheep. How many years have the RIAA been pulling their shit now? CD sales aren't falling off. People are still shoveling thier money into these fuckwad's pockets. Until people start actually standing up for what they believe and actually maybe "sacrificing" that new Justin Timberlake CD for their values, nothing will change.
Um, Didnt you read that article that was posted here 2 days ago that said that within the year LINUX desktops will overtake the # of Macintosh Desktops by year end. Bite it troll!!!
Actually you are wrong... Car manufacturers DO in fact support performance tuning your vehicle. Ever look at the parts that Ford offers under the "Ford Motorsport" name? Anything you want. Exhausts, Camshafts, superchargers, fuel injectors, chips. The list goes on and on.

If you have, Nuff said...
Ok, since the buttons on an Ipod are not really labled clearly, I am assuming your coworker "played" with it until he figured it out. No different than using a GUI you've never used.
Ok, EVERYTHING on a computer needs to be learned to use efficiently. Do you think people sit in front of a computer for the first time and expect to know exactly how to use it? Thats just ignorance. It's a tool and most tools need some training to use properly. Comes back to the old saying "The only truely intuitive interface is the nipple".
What the hell are you talking about. Installing a program in LINUX is MUCH easier than in windows. As far as the actual OS install goes, LINUX once again is much easier to install (depending on the distro) than windows. The only reason you think windows is easier is that it was probably installed when you got the computer. Windows is not all that easy either. And there is no way you are gonna convice me that installing apps in windows is easier. apt-get has to be the easiest thing in the world.
Yeah, isn't the switchover date Jan 01, 1985?

A bag of weed to reformat and reinstall someones laptop.
It would be even funnier if he posted this again tomorrow under a different name.
