  10. Re: Fat Rage on Twinkies: The Breakfast of Champion Programmers Still Hard To Get · · Score: 1

Yes, being fat is somewhat a choice for almost everyone. There are ways to keep almost everyone's weight moderate, through diet and exercise and proper sleep.

The simple truth is that many fat people are insufficiently motivated to consistently work hard on all those areas for long periods.

Tv or go for a walk? A choice.
Eat carbs or protein to satisfy hunger? A choice.
    Regular or diet soda? Choice.

And this is coming from someone who has struggled with this all my life, so I'm Npt being simply judgmental.

I believe evolution happens, both historically and currently, and on scales both grand and small.

But I'm tired of so-called scientists making news stories out of un-testable speculations about how something or another could have been a factor in our evolutionary past.

That kind of speculation is for late-night living-room talk, not scientific journals.

Our government refuses to admit that waterboarding, sleep-deprivation, and blasting a person with loud music for days on end are "torture". So them claiming they won't "torture" someone is a pretty weak commitment.
