    Almost all ships are already controlled by an autopilot. Heck, even most small pleasure craft have gps based autopilots today.

    Nobody will make it in quantity if the price is below the cost of production (unless the manufacturer is Elon Musk).

    There's also #3 - cook the books.

    Some schools have affiliated branch campuses that only offer two year degrees. Low achieving students from the main campus are "encouraged" to transfer away from the main campus, then they back fill with the top students from the branches; that magically makes the graduation rate go up.

    He was undercover for what reason? It sounds like he went looking for some anecdotes to put in the book he was writing.

    political reasons for both

    More financial than political. In both cases the utility is short of money because they must provide service even if the customer doesn't pay the bill.

    This isn't about selling to consumers like Walmart does. Amazon couldn't compete with the companies that have been selling in bulk to hospitals for many, many years.

    Peoples' health is suffering because business is basically transferring their costs onto the people...he people are burden with the poor health and in the US the outrageous medical bills.

    Almost all of the US has clean air, except for the biggest cities. And the pollution there is primarily car exhaust, not businesses.

    The biggest things people can do to reduce the cost of healthcare is to quit smoking, lose weight, and exercise.

    Hospitals buy their drugs from Group Purchasing Organizations. GPOs are a very efficient way to get medications and supplies (as Amazon just learned).

    Maybe that's because GM knows how to bring a car into production.

    In 2017 GM made over 22,000 Bolts, meanwhile Tesla has only made a total of just over 17,000 Model 3's to date. GM is crushing Tesla.

    You can't compare the two. Roads are paid for with liquid fuel taxes. Rail requires some other source of tax dollars.

    The proposed wind power techniques for large vessels is to fly (very) large kites/parachutes at a significant altitude.

    Whoever is proposing that has no engineering background. A big ship requires over 100,000 hp to move it through the water; a kite on a cable isn't going to do it.

    They don't complement conventional engines at all, they consume a lot of energy to provide a small amount of forward force.
