Tell that to Nancy Pelosi, she'll be happy to know that she could have rammed through any healthcare legislation she wanted. Except it didn't work that way, did it?
Here in the US the political season is already starting. Just as it has been for decades, we're getting robocalls from the various candidates. I also get many credit card offers every week with my name on the envelope and pleas from the alumni association to send money. Privacy? What's that?

You have a right to peaceful protest. You don't have a right to trespass and disrupt businesses or political gatherings. Respect others' rights and yours will be respected too.
...and yes, I know that if you can boot into another OS and If the drive isn't encrypted (both unlikely) there might be a way. But the words "grounds for dismissal" come to mind.

The data might not mean there is an outright shortage of S&E workers; it could indicate a combination of factors related to such things as the recession and offshoring.
While I'm not a supporter of SOPA, headlines with statements like "In another hilarious comment..." come across as more than a little biased. I hope News For Nerds doesn't sink to Blog For Nerds.
I see Stratfor calling itself the "Shadow CIA". But is there really any connection to the CIA? From what I've seen they mostly market themselves to private industry, perhaps they have some subscribers in Washington but the connection seems casual at best.

The closest we've seen to cyber-warfare is the STUXNET virus; it want far beyond the capabilities of script kiddies running downloadable bots.

They were asked to leave and refused. How does that count as being subdued? You expect the police to just shrug and walk away?
I think the fact that all the watertight doors of the "unsinkable ocean liner" were open sort of makes everything else irrelevant.
