Sorry, but a bunch of guys in rubber suits in front of a blue screen is even less realistic than CGI work. Take Matrix Reloaded. You could definitely tell it was not Keanu in some of those scenes. But he still blended into the environment very well, and even a few shots he looked photo realistic. More importantly, there are millions of things added to scenes in recent movies that you would never have known were CG. You've just been trained over the years to accept the rubber suited monster in front of the screen, where as the new generation is being trained to accept the CGI. And as a CG artist myself, I can tell you that great strides have been made to this date.
I think it's called entrapment, where in a party allows for a violation until that violation can become profitable for said party. (party? Party? i LOVE parties!). Of course, if there is a violation *cough**cough* then it's really up to the courts to decide whether or not it was entrapment.
I read a book written by linus, and in it he explains how it is moral for a person who cannot afford something to spend that money on important things (food, etc) and then pirate the non-essentials that they cannot afford. As a good slashdotter, i cannot disobey the direct orders of god himself.
thank you, i've been trying to remember the name of that convention for like a week! Anyway, it's nice to know someone here knows what they are talking about
try buying either Western Digital. Or keep buying Maxtor, or even IBM. Seriously, if you people would RTFA, then you would notice that the problems only affect about 10% of the drives that shipped from a plant in china to taiwan. The IBM thing, that was just one set of drives, their new ones kick ass. Maxtor, not my favorite, but this isn't a sign of bad drives from them. Mishaps happen, always have, always will. Now stop freaking and RTFA
the lowered warranties are not a sign of dropped quality. It's foolish to think that. My big Western Digital hasn't seen so much as one problem, and I don't expect it to for many years
try common sense. Ability to track multiple objects does translate to improved driving skills. Which do you think drives better? The person who can track more or less objects?
let's try this little thing called driving. I've heard that several people are begginning to engage in this strange phenominum known as driving. Furthermore, these so-called "drivers" have been reported to have to track several objects at once and even gauge distance, speed, and potential danger. Perhaps, being able to track more things would be an advantage in this absurd ritual known as driving.
