I can't believe that either of you cannot see the others point, while spam may not be the scourge of humanity, it is a definate problem, one that must be addressed. I mean its not the fathers fault that his daughter sees the 'sex based' email, its the spammers fault for blindly sending thousands of emails. On the other hand, parents should strictly monitor their childrens internet habits.
Although I know of very fathers that have the technical ability to install filters or set up rules. Short of reading every incoming email, this would prove difficult for most parents.
I can understand the tech's fustration sometimes, I was a support tech for a banking software company and I once asked a customer to send me a copy of the file she was working on.
I few minutes later the fax machine received a photocopy of a floppy.......
You are absolutely correct, my point was that my infection was not due to spam (email) or spyware.
My theory is that someone wrote it to disable all the spamware-infested computers out there.
I had a newly installed machine and since I was on a trip I had to dial in and was immediately infected, granted had I been on the corporate network I would have been OK. My servers are constantly patched, but my laptop I usually just service pack.
Anyway...it was an easy fix. The Clean Tool and the MS patch did the trick!
Actually I got it on Apr 3rd on a rare occasion that I dialed in, I was away on a trip. I dialed in and then rebooted, immediately got the LSASS error ten a minute or so later the shutdown window.
My PC is spyware and spam free, I know this because I just re-formatted and reinstalled XP
Maybe the problem was using XP in the first place?
If you thought it was interesting to see the Pegasus Bridge Photos as they relate to the Game Call of Duty, get the movie "The Longest Day" (1962).
The game is extremely similar to the movie, especially the part involving the Pegasus Bridge.
I wonder how long until the telcos realize they can also receive "settlements" when they sue users for using their networks to traffic copyrighted materials........
I hope there are no telco execs reading this....

I agree that the cartoons of today just don't compare to what I watched as a kid, I remember watching from 7am till noon when American Bandstand came on, which meant the cartoons were over
Please tell me someone out there remembers Ultra Man!!!!!
"If you are a musician whose recordings are publicly distributed, then you are entitled to your share of these royalties by filing a claim under Section 1006"
I am a semi-pro musician, having posted original music on Napster, Kazaa...etc.(publicly distributed) Who do I call to get check!
Really I think that all this RIAA mess is a good thing, we are in the middle of a revolution, we are the rebels fighting the RIAA/DMCA Empire. We have a obligation to force change in the record industry. I am not for copyright infringement, but I am for a new way of music distribution. I would love to see less emphasis on global promotion of artists and more local music scenes. I have spent years playing and writing music (I ended up in the IT industry, imagine that) and I still performed 134 shows last year, I believe, wait I know that there are thousands of great musicians out there and never get recognized because they do not fit into the monopolized record industry world. Imagine being able to use P2P to get music from your area, or the work local filmmakers. It is time for us to make a stand and revolutionize the music industry.

I am glad to see someone else "gets it" in regards to NASCAR, I also thought it was a lame sport until I was taken to a race in 1993. Now I really enjoy watching and going to the races, I have been to F1 and CART races and they don't appeal to me as much, there is more interaction between the cars (and drivers)on the track in NASCAR than in the Formula type races.
The RIAA has to realize that there is a solution to this problem, and the current model is not it. Maybe, in order to control piracy all music must be released digitally...licsened to distributors that then sell it to p2p or for CD pressing. There are flaws in every system but there is definitely a way for this to work. Their approach to this so far has made me never want to give them a penny of my money ever!

Wireless Guitars have been around for a long time, actually wireless units are extremely cheap now. I think Nady has one for $59.
Q: How can you tell if the drum riser is level? A: There's drool running out of both sides of the drummers mouth!
