What is actually happening at each site. There is a series of Dells we purchased that have had a high failure rate within a year of purchasing. Most of them HD related.
At all of the companies I have worked for, i came into a Dell shop and converted them. How do you ask?
TCO... The total cost of ownership of one downed system costs ~$300/each, and when Dell has a trackrecord of failing systems it quickly adds up.
TCO includes IT time in swap/repair and lost productivity (20 minutes adds up when the user is a hard worker).
So enjoy your Dell, you will be working hard to keep them up and running.
It was funny to see people attempt to steal tapes (yeah, that long ago).
But seriously, I saw their business model back then and knew they were a crap company.
Apparently, to get new movies a few months in advance it cost $150/tape. At least that is what they charged people that never brought them back, on top of the late fees.
When I left the company it was $3.50 for 2 nights, I knew they were going nowhere. Bunch of price gouging bastards.
Boy, for every time a law passed that was from some unfounded statement...
Australia isnt the only one that does this, but it is still no less funny to read these.
However, I do agree iPods are dangerous in that they help support Apple.
I have not seen any either, which leads me to believe the industry thinks we do not need them.
I dont know, perhaps the future of the internet will be hardware firewalls, VPNs, and viruses.
Yeah, IPv6 solves some problems, but then causes others.
Anonymity is lost pretty quickly with IPv6, along with ISPs seeing how many systems you have running on their network, and it exposes systems to OS flaws. no more "hardware firewall" that I can see. The logic in fact seems to be nothing but a really big switched network.
In short, I dont like what IPv6 gives us over what we lose with IPv4.
In other words, education is lacking and unless you had the "drive" to learn something on your own its better to go to college despite the lack.
I left college because it wasnt good enough. I got a good education on programming because I knew nothing about it and MSDN was still a fledgling site. Now, you could learn a lot more from MSDN than you could from a book or a professor.
This is America sir, where white collar crimes are deemed a max of 3 months in a luxurious prison. However, if you steal all the money at once, its blue collar and considered a threat to national security. Thus the outrage of the OP.
When we were up in Fort McMurray visiting family for Canadian Thanksgiving we had both cable and DSL service in the house (my nephew is a big gamer and buys his own dedicated cable connection).
Wait wait wait... so your telling me Canadians have basements?
I think it ironic that Microsoft is so hard core about capitalism and "paying for software", yet they will not reward those that find bugs. I mean bug finders did the hard work, they tested and retested to prove their theory, and Microsoft wants them to give it to them for free?
Oh that is not even the best part. I went to report a bug to MS over the phone guess what they wanted, down payment. You know... just in case it wasnt a bug.

You mean their Rebranded monitors, correct?
Fact is, the only thing that is good about Dell is not put together by them.
Blizzard is the diet coke of evil.
Once they have you, it's "Gottcha' bitch!"
May the fan base repudiate these statements in only ways Fox News could love.
Projector bulbs cost $250+, I would hate to see the bill on these cel phones.

I worked for Blockbuster for a few years.

Yes, I agree. We should also fight amongst professions because we simply do not have enough to fight about.

Rhetorical question is rhetorical.

That must be why we are still debating it...
